Review of Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 5: The Hindi-language business reality TV series is aired on Sony Entertainment Television. The show features new-age entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas to a panel of esteemed investors known as the ‘sharks’. Based on these pitches, the sharks decide whether to invest in the presented ventures.
Shark Tank India Season 3 showcases a panel of judges including Deepinder Goyal, Founder and CEO of Zomato; Azhar Iqubal, Co-founder & CEO of Inshorts; Ritesh Agarwal, Founder & CEO of OYO Rooms; Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss MF; Varun Dua, Founder of ACKO; Ronnie Screwvala, Co-Founder and Chairperson of UpGrad; Aman Gupta, CEO and Founder of boAt; Namita Thapar, Executive Director – India Business at Emcure Pharmaceuticals; Peyush Bansal, Co-Founder & CEO of Lenskart; Vineeta Singh, Co-founder & CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics; and Anupam Mittal, Founder & CEO of People Group (including Shaadi.com).
Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 5 introduces a new judge to the panel. This season, the show appears to have expanded its roster of investors, bringing in individuals from diverse backgrounds. Joining the panel in the third season is Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund. The episode delves into Radhika’s personal journey before diving into the pitches of the night.
Pitch 1 :- Dil Foods
The evening kicks off with the first pitch from Dil Foods, owned by Arpita Aditi. Dil Foods offers a distinctive sustainable and flavorful solution to the underutilized capacity in the restaurant industry. The brand is forging a virtual franchise using tangible resources, and the story behind their approach proves to be quite intriguing. This pitch serves as an educational experience on multiple fronts, introducing viewers to an innovative business concept. It’s a reminder of the out-of-the-box ideas for which the Shark Tank franchise is renowned, a quality that has been somewhat lacking in this particular Indian season, at least in my opinion.
Pitch 2 :- AI Kavach
The next entrepreneur to take the stage is another woman who’s making India proud – Pratyusha, presenting her brand AI Kavach. As the name suggests, AI Kavach is an application equipped with artificial intelligence designed for protection. But protection from what? Well, it’s aimed at safeguarding everyone in the digital realm from cyber fraud. With compelling statistics, relevant information, and personal experience, Pratyusha delivers a pitch that prompts both the sharks and the viewers to deeply consider their digital presence.
Pitch 3 :- Bartisans
Next up on stage is a heartwarming duo: a mother, Jovita, and her son, Jordan. Surprisingly, their brand might ring a bell for all of us, especially for our beloved drink enthusiasts – Bartisans. With a delightful pitch and some delicious drink mixers served up, they charm their way through the show with humility and smiles.
Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 5: Final Thoughts
Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 5 was quite impressive. The businesses showcased were truly unique, and the founders presented their pitches with charm and finesse. Overall, there was a sense of familiarity and appreciation throughout the episode. It definitely outshone the fourth episode. While there was some drama, it seems like Aman Gupta might be stirring controversy just for the sake of it. Whether this trend continues will become clearer in the upcoming episodes. Alternatively, it could be that Anupam’s absence influenced Gupta’s behavior in today’s episode.
