Pet Puraan Story:-
In Indian movies or shows, pets are often sidelined or used for comedic effect, but writer-director Dnyanesh Zoting changes this norm in Pet Puraan. The six-episode series revolves around Buddy (Vyanku the dog) and Banku (Baku the cat), along with their owners Aditi (Sai Tamhankar) and Atul (Lalit Prabhakar). Aditi and Atul, happily married and content with their lives, face pressure from their families to have children. Despite wavering momentarily, they decide against parenthood and opt for pet parenting instead.

Pet Puraan captures relatable situations encountered by pet parents, from considering pet ownership to fostering and eventually adopting pets. The series beautifully portrays the challenges and joys of pet ownership, including interactions with various characters like animal activists, breeders, and neighbors with differing views on pets.
Sai Tamhankar delivers a standout performance as the strong yet emotional Aditi, while Lalit Prabhakar impresses as the practical Atul. The supporting cast, including Satish Alekar, Rishi Manohar, and Sayalee Phatak, excels in their roles. However, it’s Buddy and Banku who steal the show with their adventures and heartwarming bond with their owners.
While the series is enjoyable, some scenes feel unnecessary, prolonging the episodes unnecessarily. Despite this, Pet Puraan is a delightful binge-watch, offering heartwarming performances and valuable insights into pet parenting.
