Pekamedalu Story :-

Pekamedalu tells the compelling story of Lakshman (Vinod Kishan) and Varalaxmi (Anoosha Krishna), a couple living in the slums of Hyderabad. Lakshman, a B.Tech graduate, dreams of becoming a wealthy real estate broker instead of following a traditional job. His wife, Varalaxmi, supports the family with part-time work while hoping to start her own small business and provide a good education for their son. The film explores how the couple deals with financial and relationship challenges as they strive to improve their lives.

Pekamedalu is a realistic film that powerfully depicts the middle-class mindset, focusing on a woman’s unwavering commitment to her marriage. It highlights her struggles to balance her dreams, maternal love, and desire for freedom from an abusive relationship, while challenging traditional gender roles within marriage. Vinod Kishan and Anoosha Krishna, making their Tollywood debuts, deliver compelling performances that drive the film’s success. Varalaxmi’s character, in particular, takes center stage as Lakshman’s life unravels in the second half.

The supporting cast, including Retika Srinivas, Anusha Nuthala, Muralidhar Goud, and Ganesh Thipparaju, also contribute strong performances, adding depth to the story.
