Mismatched Season 3 (Netflix) Review :-

Rishi and Dimple’s turbulent, on-again, off-again relationship in Mismatched is nothing short of a heartache and a headache—and then some. Despite all the chaos that repeats itself throughout the series, it’s the sight of other couples kissing in public that somehow feels like the most outrageous act. Jokes aside, the latest season of Netflix’s hit show has plenty to unpack, offering a bittersweet viewing experience that will likely leave viewers wanting to punch a wall.

Season 3 continues to follow Dimple, Rishi, and their friends and families as they navigate the harsh realities of adulthood. With serious jobs and complicated emotions to deal with, the season surprisingly fails to show any real growth for Dimple, who seems to take two steps forward only to fall three steps back with each episode. Immature and prone to poor decision-making, Dimple remains hard to like and even harder to love as she tosses chocolate boy Rishi around like his emotional well-being is at her mercy.

As always, my investment in this couple’s future is almost nonexistent. Rishi’s warmth, empathy, and maturity make it hard not to love him. Sure, he makes mistakes, but they’re easy to forgive, especially given the challenges he faces. Dimple, on the other hand, rarely cuts him any slack, and her constant emotional outbursts against him start to feel like emotional abuse. While the series tries to show that she’s struggling in her own life, the reality is—who isn’t? Her way of coping seems to be belittling him and everyone around her until she feels better, and the series fails to hold her accountable for her mistreatment of others.

Another issue with this season is its attempt to cram in as many social issues as possible, rushing through each one without fully exploring them. While the series handles each topic diplomatically, they lose their impact and depth along the way. Personally, I found the Sid-Zeenat and Anmol-Vinny storylines the most authentic, and Rith’s storyline, particularly his connection with Celina, was an interesting addition. As for India’s “most loved couple,” all I can wish for is their breakup and for Dimple to seek therapy ASAP.

This season introduces AI, with Rishi working for a high-profile boss on a game-changing project. However, it doesn’t play a significant role and is mostly pushed to the background, surfacing only when the series needs an external conflict. I found the third season’s transitions between characters’ journeys quite engaging, and the sweet moments between them will leave you smiling. Ultimately, Mismatched Season 3 is entertaining, but at its core, it remains just that—a light, fluffy entertainer.

That said, I couldn’t help but be puzzled by some of the decisions made this season. It’s a constant head-scratcher trying to understand who would make some of these choices, but even so, a random engagement and a revenge plot will definitely throw most viewers off. The most bewildering part, however, is when an adult makes a rash decision and feels oddly proud of themselves for it. While grief plays a role, it’s still so perplexing that it might just leave you frustrated. There are a few other moments like this that could easily pull you out of the experience, making you question the logic behind the plot.

Mismatched Season 3 (Netflix) Trailor :-

Final Thought

Mismatched Season 3 is ultimately a light, fluffy entertainer, though it often loses its charm. Fortunately, most of the characters have evolved and are no longer as insufferable as they were in Season 1. However, Dimple Ahuja still has a way of driving you crazy, especially since Rishi has shown noticeable growth throughout the series.
