Industry Season 3 (JioCinema) Review :-

Industry’s mix of business dealings, sex, and drugs has often drawn comparisons to Succession, Billions, Euphoria, and Skins. However, in its third season, it’s clearer than ever that Industry is charting its own unique path.

Season 3 of Industry embraces a spirit of experimentation. Flashbacks are now a part of the narrative, supporting characters are given more attention, and the show’s scope has expanded significantly. Co-creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay draw inspiration from a wide range of sources, including Uncut Gems, the films of Michael Mann, Barry Lyndon, and A Room with a View. This results in episodes with varying tones, yet they consistently maintain the frenetic energy that defines Industry. While taking risks with a show’s formula may not always succeed (as seen with The Bear Season 3), for Industry, where the characters thrive on risky decisions and shifting alliances, this approach is spot on.

What’s Industry Season 3 about?

Of course, the risks taken by the characters in Industry frequently land them in trouble. For instance, Harper Stern (Myha’la, Leave the World Behind), whose forged college transcript in Season 1 led to her dismissal from the fictional investment bank Pierpoint & Co. at the end of Season 2, is now struggling to stay in the game. She has taken an assistant role at the investment fund FutureDawn. While she finds the job and FutureDawn’s emphasis on ethical investment tedious, she also encounters a potential ally in the ruthless portfolio manager Petra Koenig (Sarah Goldberg, Barry).

Harper might dismiss ethical investing, but it’s all the rage at Pierpoint. Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela, Back to Black), who has taken over Harper’s previous role, is now working with Eric Tao (Ken Leung, Lost) and Robert Spearing (Harry Lawtey, Joker: Folie À Deux) on the IPO of the highly anticipated green energy company Lumi, led by the inexperienced but wealthy CEO Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington, Game of Thrones). Industry revels in scrutinizing whether anyone at Pierpoint truly believes in Lumi’s mission or the “ethical” claims of ethical investing, much like it critiqued COVID-19 profiteers in Season 2.

In Industry, it’s only a matter of time before personal and professional lives collide in dramatic fashion. Lumi’s IPO arrives during a tumultuous period for nearly everyone at Pierpoint. Yasmin is now the subject of tabloid headlines due to her father Charles’ (Adam Levy, The Witcher) embezzlement scandal; Robert is grappling with an unforeseen loss; and Eric, after a recent separation, has succumbed to a lifestyle of sex, drugs, and questionable managerial choices. Harper might count herself lucky to be away from Pierpoint, but that won’t stop her from making unexpected returns to the fray.

Industry Season 3 (JioCinema) Trailor :-

Industry embraces the chaos in Season 3, with thrilling results.

Industry‘s shift towards ethical investing and the introduction of new characters like Petra and Henry highlight its dedication to evolving each season. This commitment is also reflected in the show’s formal approach. While the series continues to deliver its trademark juicy personal drama and fast-paced trading-floor dialogue, it does so in innovative ways. Flashbacks to Yasmin’s time on a boat with her father introduce an intriguing layer of mystery, and an episode centered on Rishi Ramdani (Sagar Radia) provides much-needed depth to a previously underdeveloped character, all while pushing the boundaries of the show’s intensity. (Trust us, you haven’t seen anything yet.)

As Industry ramps up its intensity, so does its ensemble cast. Myha’la, Abela, and Lawtey continue to serve as the rock-solid core of the show, skillfully portraying the complex dynamics of friendship and rivalry with both emotional depth and cutthroat edge. Goldberg and Harington are also standout additions: Goldberg’s incisive portrayal of Petra is a perfect counterpoint to Myha’la’s Harper, while Harington’s Muck layers sleaze and manipulation beneath a façade of vulnerability.

In Season 3, it’s Leung’s Eric who emerges as the most morally corrupt character in Industry. Now separated from his wife but newly promoted to partner, Eric’s entire identity revolves around Pierpoint and his midlife crisis. As he dives back into drug use—”I haven’t done blow since 9/11,” he admits in the premiere—and casual sex, it feels like a return to his earlier days at the bank. He could easily blend in with the hard-partying grads from Season 1, albeit with the added complexity of being their boss. Watching Eric struggle to recapture his youthful vigor and the “relentlessness” he associates with his masculinity is compelling, with Leung portraying him as a barely contained explosion.

Despite Eric and the rest of the Industry cast pouring their entire selves into their work, there’s always the looming possibility that it could consume them at the slightest misstep. Conversely, there’s also the potential for immense rewards and unimaginable wealth. This atmosphere of high-stakes, high-reward decision-making, combined with equally daring television-making, makes watching Industry an exhilarating experience. It’s intense, intoxicating, and more compelling than ever.
