Gabby’s Dollhouse Season 10 (Netflix) Review :-

In January 2021, amid the surge in COVID-19 deaths and the closure of many preschools, Netflix introduced Gabby’s Dollhouse. The show features a girl in cat ears who sings joyful science songs and uses playful phrases like “miaow-mazing,” “pawesome!,” “ab-so-cat-a-loutely,” and “hug attack!”

While Gabby’s Dollhouse might be unfamiliar to those without young children, it provided a much-needed sense of comfort during that challenging winter, when anxiety and screen time were on the rise worldwide. Gabby, with her cheerful and upbeat demeanor in a whimsical, cat-themed world, became a symbol of resilience, cuteness, and hope.

In its nearly three years and eight seasons, Gabby’s Dollhouse has frequently appeared in Netflix’s top 10 across 57 countries and has ignited a toy craze that would make Barney envious. Recently, it became the second-largest preschool toy license in the US, with over 1 million cat-themed dollhouses sold. The show has even inspired conspiracy theories: online sleuths on Reddit and TikTok speculate that Laila Lockhart Kraner, the actor behind Gabby, is actually 25 years old, with one TikTok user remarking, “She looks like she has two kids and a mortgage!”

Created by children’s TV luminaries Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey, who previously collaborated on Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues, Gabby’s Dollhouse was not originally intended to launch during the pandemic. However, the show, which began as a pitch deck in 2016, was always designed to embody a core of positivity and joy.

“Gabby’s is all about grit and determination,” says Twomey, who also co-created Nickelodeon’s Team Umizoomi. From the beginning, the show was designed to embody “wish fulfillment,” drawing inspiration from the beloved toys of their childhood, such as dollhouses and miniatures. Twomey explains that dollhouses represent a “fantasy world—where your imagination can take you anywhere.”

Both Johnson and Twomey confirm that Kraner is not an adult in disguise. She was 11 when she landed the role and is now 15, living in the suburbs on the East Coast and attending regular school. Are there concerns about her aging out of the show? So far, Twomey says, there are none: “The kids are 100% with her. She’s an aspirational, cool role model—the ultimate babysitter.”
