“Eric” immerses viewers in a gripping, emotionally charged narrative unfolding against the gritty backdrop of 1980s New York. The series follows Vincent, a desperate father, as he embarks on a relentless search for his missing nine-year-old son, Edgar. Seamlessly blending elements of psychological drama and mystery, the show maintains a palpable tension throughout without succumbing to sluggish pacing.
Vincent’s harrowing journey commences with Edgar’s abrupt disappearance en route to school, just as the young boy excitedly plans a new puppet for Good Day Sunshine. Convinced that bringing Edgar’s imaginary monster, Eric, to life might hold the key to finding his son, Vincent delves deeper into the unknown. Meanwhile, Detective Ledroit, portrayed by McKinley Belcher III, makes headway with an arrest, while Cassie, played by Gaby Hoffmann, grapples with conflicting emotions, ultimately leading to a rupture in her marriage with Vincent.
