Vedaa Review :-

When Vedaa (Sharvari) enrolls in a boxing training camp at her college, she knows it will provoke opposition from the village pradhan’s family, but she is willing to take that risk. For her, boxing represents an escape from her oppressive life in Barmer. The village head, Jitin Pratap Singh (Abhishek Banerjee), outwardly progressive, secretly supports caste discrimination, while his violent brother, Suyog (Kshitij Chauhan), is notorious for brutally punishing those who challenge societal norms.

When Abhimanyu (John Abraham), a court-martialed Army Major, arrives in Barmer, the winds of change start to blow. He takes Vedaa under his wing and begins training her as a boxer. As their bond strengthens, they become a formidable team, especially when the injustice against her family reaches its breaking point.

Inspired by real-life stories, Vedaa boldly confronts caste-based injustices and crimes. The film blends a strong social message with high-octane action, and its narrative (written by Aseem Arora) pays homage to the Hindi films of the 90s. It features dramatic flair, intense action sequences (a standout element), and songs strategically placed during moments of tension and key story turning points.

Vedaa Trailor :-

John Abraham, as Abhimanyu, is a man of few words, letting his rapid and fierce punches and kicks speak for him. The film plays to his strengths, excelling in stunts and showcasing him as the action star we’ve been eager to see on screen. Sharvari, in the title role, is raw and intense, delivering a strong performance in emotionally charged scenes. As the determined Vedaa—nicknamed “Fighter Vedaa” by her sister—she makes a notable impact. Abhishek Banerjee effectively taps into his menacing side, providing a formidable challenge to the protagonist.

The film effectively captures a gritty texture and builds tension, with several evocative scenes. Songs like “Zaroorat Se Zyada” fit seamlessly with the mood. However, some aspects fall short—such as the overly lengthy and convoluted climax, a few awkwardly placed songs, and scenes that feel staged. While many elements are predictable and follow a formulaic approach, the intense action sequences, particularly in the second half, maintain an adrenaline-pumping pace.

Nikkhil Advani delivers a massy, masala film that combines a meaningful message with action-packed sequences that will have audiences cheering.
