Tumko Meri Kasam Review :-
What happens when a man hailed for giving hope to countless childless couples becomes entangled in a scandal? Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Tumko Meri Kasam tells the story of Dr. Ajay Murdia (Anupam Kher), a pioneering IVF specialist, who is accused of attempted murder. The film weaves together two narratives—his revolutionary work in fertility treatment and the high-stakes courtroom battle that threatens to undo everything he’s built.

Based on a true story, the film sets the stage for a gripping legal drama intertwined with a poignant love story. Rajeev Khosla (Meherrzan Mazda) accuses Dr. Murdia of attempted murder, seeking to take over his position as chairman of Indira IVF, a leading chain of fertility clinics. Running parallel to this legal battle is the doctor’s early journey, where a younger Ajay (Ishwak Singh) faces skepticism and social stigma in the 1980s, a time when fertility clinics were often mocked as “sex clinics.” Despite opposition from his peers and family, Ajay finds unwavering support in his wife, Indira (Adah Sharma). Together, they risk everything to revolutionize fertility treatment and offer hope to struggling couples.

While emotionally compelling, writer-director Bhatt’s storytelling fluctuates between poignant and melodramatic. As the narrative shifts between romance, tragedy, and the legal battle, the flow doesn’t always feel seamless. At two hours and forty-six minutes, the story feels drawn-out and follows a familiar formula, complete with songs. The courtroom scenes vary between well-executed and somewhat forced. However, the film’s emotional heart stays strong, particularly in moments of personal loss, where the bond between the younger Ajay and Indira is portrayed with such tenderness that it’s sure to leave you teary-eyed.
Tumko Meri Kasam Trailor :-
Anupam Kher delivers a strong performance as the determined and wronged Dr. Murdia, fiercely defending his clinic and reputation. Esha Deol portrays his defense attorney, Meenakshi, with grace, though her character lacks depth beyond the courtroom scenes. Ishwak Singh, as the younger Ajay, truly stands out—capturing both the empathy and determination of a doctor ahead of his time. His chemistry with Adah Sharma is natural and captivating, making their love story one of the film’s most compelling aspects. The pair excels in both romantic and emotionally charged moments, showcasing resilience and unwavering trust in each other.
Final Thought
Durgesh Kumar (Bhushan from Panchayat) makes a brief but impactful appearance in a key courtroom scene. Meherrzan Mazda, as the antagonist, plays a significant role, but his motivations feel underdeveloped. His resentment toward Ajay lacks the complexity needed to make him a truly formidable adversary.
Tumko Meri Kasam boasts a strong premise, but its uneven pacing and lengthy runtime hinder its immersive quality. Nonetheless, the film is anchored by emotional depth and strong performances.
