The Wrong Paris (Netflix) Review :-

The Wrong Paris delivers exactly what you’d expect from a classic romcom, never straying from the familiar formula. The story introduces Dawn, the quintessential “not like other girls” heroine—hardworking, responsible, and caring, especially as she supports her grandmother’s hospital bills. Yet, she also has her own quirky charm. Having spent all her savings meant for a Paris education trip, Dawn finds herself scrambling for an alternative just as she’s about to start school in her dream city.

Fortunately, Dawn lands a promising opportunity: appearing on a dating show where the appearance fees could easily cover her expenses. To add to the coincidence, the show is set in Paris—the very city she’s been dreaming of all along. But her excitement quickly turns to disappointment when she discovers that the Paris in question is actually Paris, Texas, just a stone’s throw from her hometown. Determined to escape, she hatches a plan to get eliminated as quickly as possible—though it proves far more challenging than she expected.

A few days before joining the show, Dawn meets Trey, a charming man with whom she immediately sparks a connection. Their chemistry is undeniable, and they quickly fall for each other. The twist? Trey turns out to be the very bachelor she’s meant to compete for on the show, turning her plan upside down. From there, the story unfolds exactly as you’d expect: Dawn tries everything to bow out, but Trey won’t let go—after all, where else would he find someone so captivating and deeply in sync with him?

For those not used to the classic romcom vibe, The Wrong Paris might feel a bit cringeworthy at times. The film captures the same lively, over-the-top energy reminiscent of early 2000s hits like High School Musical, but with a more mature twist. The plot is predictable—almost like a Wattpad fanfiction—but in the end, it works because familiar stories still have the power to connect.

The Wrong Paris (Netflix) Trailor :-

The lead actors do a solid job of convincingly portraying two people in love, and their chemistry draws you in. However, the supporting characters—particularly the other contestants on the dating show—are underdeveloped and mostly exist just to push the main couple’s story forward. So, is this a fresh, never-before-seen tale? Not at all. It’s a simple, familiar love story that Hollywood has recycled countless times before.

Final Thought

Overall, this is a decent romcom that makes for a perfect guilty pleasure. It delivers all the heart-fluttering moments and dreamy scenarios that people secretly long for, even while knowing they’re far from reality. If you can overlook its heavy use of clichés, occasional cringe-worthy scenes, and predictable stereotypes, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy the film.
