The Family Man Season 3 (AmazonPrimeVideo) Review :-

We’ve reached the third season of Prime Video’s popular spy thriller The Family Man, and, in a maddening turn, it ends on a cliffhanger after seven episodes. With the returning cast and two new directors at the helm, the series delivers another sprawling, intricate story—this time set in India’s northeastern states and revolving around the looming threat of war with China.

As usual, the series skillfully balances its emotional and thriller elements, showcasing Srikant’s vulnerable and fierce sides simultaneously. Srikant feels like a lived-in, believable character, navigating a failing marriage, growing children, and shocking work situations that force him to question even his closest colleagues. When he loses a confidant, the story spirals as he takes it upon himself to uncover the betrayal.

The stakes are deeply personal, and the new characters bring fresh intrigue. Jaideep Ahlawat debuts as the antagonist Rukma, delivering a performance that’s both fierce and surprisingly vulnerable. Unlike Srikant’s usual light-heartedness, Rukma’s personal investment in events adds a realism that makes you want to see more of him. Nimrat Kaur plays Meera, a fixer with her hands in nearly every operation. Unfortunately, her character comes across as generic and underdeveloped—or perhaps I’ve simply grown weary of “fixer” types who seem to do everything and nothing all at once.

As always, the characters remain the show’s most compelling aspect, even if the storyline itself is engaging. This season centers on a massive conspiracy spanning multiple continents, prompting viewers to consider how everything is connected and the scale of the corruption at play. While the various threads are well-woven, I found the smaller, more personal political and ethical dilemmas more complex and engaging. These felt more believable because they revolved around people we could relate to, and, frankly, Stephen’s personal struggles carry far more emotional weight than simply tying every conflict to greed.

Outside of his professional life, Srikant’s personal life is also in turmoil. His relationship with Suchitra is strained, and the kids sense the tension too. Watching him navigate these delicate family dynamics while trying to protect his family from ruthless enemies makes the stakes feel even higher. It keeps viewers invested, rooting for the characters, and on edge, adding another layer of tension to an already high-stakes story.

The Family Man Season 3 (AmazonPrimeVideo) Trailor :-

In the end, the biggest letdown was the cliffhanger ending—both unnecessary and frustrating. It wiped out all the interest and momentum built up over the season. I couldn’t understand why the story couldn’t be wrapped up within a single season, forcing viewers to wait months for a conclusion. The Family Man is a series that fans eagerly anticipate, so this forced hype over the ending felt entirely unnecessary.

Final Thought

The Family Man Season 3 starts strong and remains engaging, though it occasionally stretches believability. What leaves a sour note, however, is the way the story is being stretched across multiple seasons, which undermines some of the season’s momentum.
