Thamma Review :-

The Stree universe continues to expand, introducing new lore, beings, and a grander canvas, and director Aditya Sarpotdar’s latest outing proves a worthy addition. The betaals—once protectors of humans—live by strict rules: never kill humans or drink their blood (considered poisonous after witnessing Partition-era massacres), never fall in love with them, and never cross into human civilization. Tadaka’s defiance, however, shatters this fragile balance, unleashing the fearsome Yakshashan

Thamma carries all the hallmarks of the franchise—impressive VFX, engaging storytelling, and a seamless blend of horror and humor. The visual design stands out, with dense forests, eerie caves, and Yakshashan’s spectral form crafted with stunning detail. The first half flows effortlessly, showcasing Alok’s awkward affection for Tadaka and her initial experiences in city life. As the story progresses, it delves into the betaals’ origins and the central conflict of their existence. While the pacing largely remains tight, a few sequences feel stretched—particularly a detour where a betaal-turned-cop (Faisal Malik) takes Alok to a vampire nightclub and offers him Alexander the Great’s blood.

Saurabh Goswami’s cinematography brilliantly captures both the haunting wilderness and the tense face-offs between characters. The film nods to its predecessors—like Yakshashan’s line about Tadaka, ‘Woh stree hai, woh kuch bhi kar sakti hai’—and includes a humorous cameo by Jana (Abhishek Banerjee), all of which feel natural rather than forced. Sachin-Jigar provide an excellent soundtrack, from the melodious Tum Mere Na Hue and Rahein Na Rahein Hum to the club banger Dilbar Ki Aankhon Ka.

Thamma Trailor :-

Ayushmann Khurrana is in top form, effortlessly shifting from sharp comedy to a darker, more intense performance. Rashmika Mandanna shines as Tadaka, balancing innocence with strength, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui brings equal parts gravitas and menace. The supporting cast, including Faisal Malik and Paresh Rawal, provide solid depth and texture to the story.

Final Thought

Thamma closes on a thrilling note, hinting at the next chapter in the horror-comedy universe. With its clever humor, strong performances, sleek visuals, and inventive VFX, it’s a thoroughly entertaining ride that keeps the Stree universe vibrant and alive.
