Sophie Turner expressed her discontent with the treatment of herself, Priyanka Chopra, and Danielle Jonas as mere appendages to the Jonas Brothers. Despite being married to Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas respectively, the trio often felt sidelined, especially during public appearances and tours.
In a recent interview with British Vogue, Sophie delved into her relationship with Joe Jonas and her experiences within the Jonas family. She revealed her frustration at constantly being labeled as “the wives,” feeling reduced to a secondary role. Sophie emphasized that Joe never made her feel this way but acknowledged the prevalent perception of them as mere companions to the band.
Reflecting on their involvement in the music video for “Sucker” and subsequent tours with the Jonas Brothers, Sophie, Priyanka, and Danielle were often dubbed the “J-Sisters.” However, despite their close ties to the band, they often felt overlooked and pigeonholed into the role of “groupies.”
Last year, Sophie and Joe’s relationship came to an end, followed by tabloid portrayals of Sophie as an irresponsible mother who enjoyed partying. The Game of Thrones star described this period as the “worst few days” of her life, particularly concerning her children, whom she considers the true victims. Despite the challenges, Sophie acknowledged that both she and Joe are striving to navigate the situation as best as they can. She commended Joe for being a “great father” to their daughters.
Sophie and Joe began dating in 2016 and tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2019. They share two daughters, Willa, aged 3, and Delphine, aged 1. Priyanka and Nick exchanged vows in 2018 and are parents to one daughter, Malti Marie.
