In this gripping Netflix crime-drama, a bold diamond heist leads Investigating Officer Jaswinder Singh to focus on three prime suspects—Kamini Singh, Sikandar Sharma, and Mangesh Desai—based purely on his instincts. As the lines between guilt and innocence begin to blur, so too does the distinction between reality and obsession, as Jaswinder becomes increasingly fixated on solving the case. Sikandar Ka Muqaddar (Netflix) Review :-

In Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, a cop clashes with three seemingly ordinary individuals who find themselves caught up in a situation they never expected. What follows is two and a half hours of these men feeding their egos while wreaking havoc on the lives of those around them. The film is surprisingly relatable, as both Sikandar and Jaswinder cling to their obsessions, allowing them to slowly consume their lives while refusing to see the bigger picture.

There are moments in Neeraj Pandey’s crime-drama that will keep you hooked, but with such a lengthy runtime, the film eventually begins to drag. What starts off as a compelling setup quickly devolves into a drawn-out power struggle that leaves you feeling bored. Most viewers may have figured out the culprit(s) soon after the robbery, as the first 20 minutes effectively set the stage for the rest of the story. Unfortunately, after that, the plot meanders aimlessly, failing to justify its length or contribute meaningfully to the overall narrative.

The rivalry between the two men is arguably the most compelling aspect of the story. I was thoroughly engaged during their conversations about the choices they’ve made over the past 15 years. Unfortunately, everything else feels like unnecessary filler, added purely to stretch the runtime. These moments drain the tension, leaving you counting down the time until the more substantial scenes return.

Most viewers will quickly realize there’s little real mystery in the plot. While we may wonder who stole the diamonds and how, that’s about all there is to it. The film could have trimmed down the excess to create a more focused and impactful story about the heist, but instead, it becomes bogged down in unnecessary details. Additionally, many of the characters feel underutilized, existing mainly to support either Sikandar or Jaswinder. This is a missed opportunity, and by the time the film concludes, it leaves you questioning the point of it all.

That said, Avinash Tiwary delivers a standout performance as Sikandar—charming yet devious, leaving you questioning whether he could really have pulled off such a bold heist. Alongside him is Tamannaah Bhatia, whose character ultimately serves as little more than a supporting role by the end, which feels like a missed opportunity. Jimmy Shergill, as Jaswinder, is equally captivating in his portrayal of an egotistical investigating officer. The rivalry between the two men is gripping, making you wish for more of their intense dynamic.

In the end, Sikandar Ka Muqaddar lays everything bare, but after all the twists and turns, the heist itself feels surprisingly anticlimactic. You expect a more intricate revelation and a deeper dive into the criminal’s motivations, but the film doesn’t explore this as fully as you’d hope. Instead, you’re left simply accepting the outcome without much conviction. It’s a letdown when the crime feels unconvincing, and you’re forced to go along with it just because the story says so. The result is a bit sloppy and unsatisfying.

Final Thought

Sikandar Ka Muqaddar had the potential to be a captivating and intense thriller. Unfortunately, it gets bogged down in its own narrative, failing to live up to the promising premise it set up. While there are moments of excitement and tension, the excessive filler ultimately causes the story to lose its way, leaving viewers feeling lost and disengaged.
