Pitch 1 :- Tiggle
The sharks and the audience brace themselves for yet another day of awe-inspiring pitches from innovative Indians eager to make a difference in the world! Anuva Kakkar presents Tiggle, a ready-to-make chocolate drink. Kakkar points out the lack of innovation in the hot chocolate market in India, despite its popularity in cafes. With a reach of 37,000 customers, Anuva aims to bring her wide range of chocolate products to every home in India, regardless of the weather.
Her upbeat demeanor and delectable products charm the sharks, although they raise concerns about Tiggle’s target audience. Anuva explains her reasoning behind targeting adults and engages in a detailed discussion about the numbers with the panelists. While impressed by Anuva’s breakdown, the panelists delve into the challenges of scaling a brand like Tiggle in India, sparking valuable discussions that could benefit other aspiring entrepreneurs watching from home.
Pitch 2 :- Wyld
The next trio of entrepreneurs, Yash Sakhlecha, Rij Eappen, and Dishant Sanghvi, introduce Wyld, a payments card powered by social currency. This innovative card allows individuals with over 1000 followers to earn money through their posts. After completing their pitch, the founders provide the Sharks with their own cards, sparking both interest and confusion about operations.
Despite the Sharks’ intrigue and admiration for this novel idea that taps into our social media habits, they raise crucial questions about the scalability of the venture. A bidding war ensues among the Sharks, all of whom are impressed by the pitch and the business. Ultimately, the founders opt for Anupam’s offer.
Pitch 3 :- Upliance AI
Next up are founders Mohit Sharma and Mahek Mody of upliance.ai, presenting a smart appliance designed to help users create innovative dishes and break the monotony of home-cooked meals. Their patented technology boasts the ability to prepare over 500 recipes, impressing everyone. The founders even provide a demonstration of the appliance by cooking kadai paneer for the panelists. However, the Sharks’ probing questions cast doubt on the initial impression, questioning the appliance’s capabilities. Additionally, the founders struggle to provide clear information about their competitors, leaving everyone a bit frustrated.
In the end, Piyush makes an offer, but the founders and the Sharks are unable to reach a mutual agreement, resulting in the founders leaving empty-handed.
Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 8 Review
This episode has been quite a rollercoaster of experiences. From genuinely innovative products to some less convincing ones, the Sharks have been presented with a range of interesting choices. However, it’s the Sharks themselves who steal the spotlight in this episode with their engaging and insightful scrutiny. Their ability to cut through the glamour of the pitches and ask the tough questions that matter in the real world is truly eye-opening and thrilling. There are moments in this episode that will undoubtedly leave you intrigued. That being said, I found the products in this episode to be somewhat underwhelming and lacking the breakthrough innovation one might expect. Nonetheless, it remains an insightful watch.
