Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 48 Recap
In this episode, you’ll encounter three distinct and captivating businesses that have forged their paths with sheer determination, emerging victorious in the end! The Sharks joining the fray include Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Amit Jain, Namita Thapad, and Ritesh Agarwal.
Pitch 1 :- Allter
This natural, rash-free diaper line takes pride in crafting products that ensure babies and infants stay comfortable without any skin irritations. Crafted from certified organic bamboo, these diapers are not only gentle on babies but also environmentally friendly. The founder seeks Rs 1 Crore in exchange for a 2.5% stake in the company to realize her vision of providing rash-free care for babies. Initially, the Sharks are apprehensive about the difference in logos, but the product’s quality wins them over.
During a lighthearted discussion, Ritesh, anticipating parenthood, inquires about the frequency of diaper changes, while everyone deliberates over the product’s premium pricing. However, the founder’s impressive sales skills, coupled with outstanding sales figures, impress everyone. After deliberating future strategies, Aman, Ritesh, and Anupam make their offers, and the founder accepts a deal with all three Sharks, offering Rs 1 Crore for a 4% equity stake.
Pitch 2 :- First Bud Organics
Featuring organic produce sourced directly from farmers across India, the mother-son duo offers a range of products, including pickles, through online channels. They seek Rs 50 Lakhs for a 7% stake in their company. After sharing personal anecdotes, the Sharks sample their products and are impressed by the flavors. Additionally, the founders discuss their product lineup, highlighting their key items and the premium pricing and margins associated with them.
Ultimately, Ritesh and Amit present their offers, and the founders opt for Ritesh’s proposal of Rs 50 Lakhs for a 10% equity share in the company.
Pitch 3 :- Shararat
Introducing flirty bedroom attire to the Tank, we encounter the founders of this lively brand aiming to keep couples perpetually in the honeymoon phase. They seek Rs 60 Lakhs and offer a 2% equity stake to become India’s premier destination for bedroom fashion.
The Sharks initially review the products before delving into inquiries about their target demographic and the readiness of the Indian market for role-play costumes. The founders candidly admit that it hasn’t reached mainstream acceptance yet, discussing the challenges they face and their strategies for overcoming them.
However, despite their efforts, the Sharks fail to identify a unique selling point in their products. Most believe the founders still need to refine their brand further, resulting in them leaving the Tank without a deal.
