Pitch 1 :- Karibo Cosmetics

Karibo Cosmetics

The first business to enter the Tank offers a unique concept: customized lipstick. Customers have the opportunity to create their own personalized lipstick from scratch, tailoring every aspect to their preferences while ensuring safety. Additionally, the company provides live lipstick-making experiences, catering to various occasions and celebrations. The founders seek an investment of Rs 80 Lakhs in exchange for 5% equity in the company.

The founders elaborate on the genesis of their business idea and discuss the challenges faced by their competitors in the US market, highlighting the lessons learned from their failures. They emphasize their strategy of transforming the lipstick-making process into an event, attracting numerous attendees and potential customers while showcasing their product. Following a demonstration and detailing their past event successes and revenue, the founders impress the Sharks with their innovative marketing approach and revenue generation strategy.

However, due to the early stage of the business and incomplete legal formalities, the Sharks refrain from investing at this time. Nonetheless, they express interest in potentially revisiting the opportunity in the future, once the company has progressed further in establishing its legal framework

Pitch 2 :- Deeva

Deeva

The following entrepreneur makes a grand entrance with an impromptu fashion show. Introducing their online sari store, the founder positions it as a comprehensive destination offering a diverse range of saris sourced from various manufacturers. This unique model allows for competitive pricing alongside a wide array of choices. Seeking Rs 2 Crore investment for a 2% equity stake in the company, the founder sets the stage for negotiation.

The Sharks begin by delving into the founder’s background and motivation for starting the business. They explore how the founder identified an opportunity in the market by observing disparate pricing across different stores for the same saris, leading to the idea of offering top-quality products at affordable prices through the online platform. The founder elaborates on the direct collaboration with manufacturers to streamline the supply chain, ensuring quality and reducing intermediary costs. Impressed by the founder’s sales figures, profitability, and other metrics, all the Sharks show interest.

In the end, Aman, Ritesh, and Radhika propose a deal: Rs 75 Lakhs investment for a 6% equity stake, along with an additional Rs 1.25 Crores as debt at 10% interest over 3 years.

Pitch 3 :- DesignTemplate

DesignTemplate

The final entrepreneur to enter the Tank presents an online design marketplace specializing in premium motion graphics templates, illustrations, and music. Their platform enables users to create customized templates swiftly, bypassing lengthy waiting times. Although initially tense, the founder concludes their pitch by impressing the Sharks, seeking Rs 1 Crore for a 2.5% equity stake in the company.

The founder shares an inspiring personal journey, starting from humble beginnings to their current entrepreneurial endeavor. Their story resonates with the Sharks, illustrating determination and perseverance. They elaborate on merging technology and design, initially developing a graphics software before pivoting to DesignTemplate to prioritize revenue generation. Demonstrating their product through a live demo, the founder discusses the company’s revenue, garnering praise from the Sharks.

Despite concerns about marketing strategy and the sustainability of their technology-centric approach, the Sharks express admiration for the company’s achievements. The founder explains their rationale for eschewing marketplace investment in favor of focusing on design excellence. However, doubts persist regarding the long-term viability given potential advancements in AI technology. In the end, Peyush and Aman extend individual offers, with the founder ultimately accepting Aman’s proposal of Rs 1 Crore for a 10% equity stake in the company.
