Selling Sunset Season 8 (Netflix) Review :-

“The L.A. real estate market is notoriously unpredictable,” Chrishell Stause remarks while adjusting her reflection in the mirror. “Last year was definitely a challenge, but we’re not giving up,” she adds, delivering an opening statement that’s as uninspired as it is generic.

Season eight kicks off with a dramatic flourish, showcasing panoramic views from a mansion that wouldn’t look out of place in a Tony Stark movie. Chrishell is presenting the $38 million property to her client, Melanie, a British woman whose budget starts at $30 million. This scene serves as a metaphor for the show’s evolution: as the properties get increasingly extravagant, so does the drama within the Oppenheim Group.

After Melanie departs, Chrishell and her boss, Jason Oppenheim, have a conversation that feels like a “bridging the season gap” moment. Chrishell asks if Jason has been in touch with Bre Tiesi, their colleague who stormed out last season over the O Group’s controversial pay structure, which heavily favors the Oppenheims and leaves brokers with a smaller share of their commissions. Jason admits he hasn’t spoken to Bre, but in her place, he’s brought on a new agent named Alanna Gold. Alanna, a self-described former nerd, shares that none of her new colleagues would have given her the time of day in high school. As a fellow high school nerd, I’m rooting for Alanna.

Alanna is now in competition with Mary and Chelsea for a new listing—a mansion in Manhattan Beach priced around $30 million (a recurring figure this season). Chelsea is confident she’s the best fit for the job and plans to win over the owner’s wife. Despite the jabs about Chelsea’s revealing dress, which some find too daring, she vows to wear a turtleneck if necessary to secure the listing. But honestly, has anyone on this show ever actually worn a turtleneck?

Selling Sunset Season 8 (Netflix) Trailor :-

Chelsea is a significant factor in why Bre hasn’t returned to the office. Beyond her frustrations with the pay structure, Bre is reluctant to be around someone who frequently criticized her personal life and co-parenting situation with Nick Cannon.

The first episode wraps up with Alanna, Chelsea, and Mary each presenting their pitches to the owners of the Manhattan Beach property, vying for the listing. Despite their efforts to prove their worth, the owners decide they want Mary and Chelsea to share the responsibilities, a decision that leaves both women dissatisfied.

Selling Sunset has evolved into a bit of a reality TV empire, but it seems to be showing signs of strain, as such empires often do. The first episode teases tension between Chelsea and Mary, and social media has already revealed that more drama between Chelsea and Bre is on the way, along with serious allegations from Nicole about Emma. Nicole’s claims that Emma had an affair with a married man have sparked a major uproar among the cast, with Chrishell expressing her outrage by declaring she will never work with Nicole again and condemning the production company, Done and Dine, as “disgusting” for airing the rumor.

While it’s always intriguing to glimpse the lives of the ultra-wealthy from their lofty Hollywood heights, the internal drama within the O Group often feels stagnant. Although this season includes some significant emotional moments, such as Chelsea’s troubled marriage and the death of a beloved pet, much of the conflict among the cast seems predictable and repetitive. The controversy over what’s being broadcast may have broader implications for the show’s future, potentially affecting both its content and its cast.
