Satyameva Jayate 2 Story :-
Satya Azad (played by John Abraham), an honest Home Minister, aims to eradicate corruption in the country with his Anti-Corruption Bill. However, despite his efforts, the bill fails to garner enough support, not only from his allies but also from his wife Vidya (played by Divya Khosla Kumar), a member of the Opposition, who votes against it in the Vidhan Sabha. When a series of gruesome killings occur in the city, ACP Jay Azad (also played by John Abraham) is tasked with apprehending the murderer, regardless of their motive. So, while it may seem like a story of brother versus brother, there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Satyameva Jayate 2 (SMJ2) continues the theme of combating corruption and power-hungry individuals from its predecessor Satyameva Jayate (SMJ). Right from the start, writer-director Milap Zaveri makes it clear that it’s a mass entertainer, reminiscent of the popular cinema of the 1980s. As John Abraham transforms into a vigilante seeking justice for innocent victims, it becomes apparent that Satya is the one delivering punishment while Jay is tasked with bringing the vigilante to justice.

Milap unabashedly pays homage to 80s movies, evident in the screenplay and dialogues. Whether it’s Satya’s declaration of continuing to punish the guilty, Jay’s introduction, or their father Dadasaheb Azad’s (once again played by John Abraham) portrayal as a farmer fighting for the Lokpal Bill, the film is filled with nods to the past era of cinema. Additionally, Milap addresses issues such as farmers’ suicides, violence against women, the Lokpal Bill, and the importance of communal harmony and religious tolerance.
John Abraham effortlessly slips into the role of the triple characters, displaying versatility as Satya, Jay, and Dadasaheb. Divya Khosla Kumar delivers a noteworthy performance as Vidya, standing firm in her beliefs and opposing her husband and father (played by Harsh Chhaya) when necessary. The supporting cast, including Gautami Kapoor, Harsh Chhaya, Annup Sonii, Zakir Hussain, Dayashankar Pandey, and Saahil Vaid, also contribute effectively to the narrative.
The film’s soundtrack, featuring songs like “Tenu Lehanga” and “Meri Zindagi Hai Tu,” adds to the overall appeal, with Nora Fatehi’s performance in “Kusu Kusu” adding a touch of glamour.
However, the true highlight of the film is its raw and hardcore action sequences, with John Abraham impressing with his stunts. While the film pays homage to the over-the-top cinema of the 1980s, some scenes may seem too exaggerated even for fans of OTT entertainment.
Overall, Satyameva Jayate 2 offers a nostalgic throwback to mass entertainment of the past era, with ample doses of action and drama. If you’re a fan of masala films and don’t mind seeing triple the John Abraham on screen, this one’s worth a watch.
