Romance, raw emotion, striking visuals, and soul-stirring music—hallmarks of a Mohit Suri film—are all present and accounted for in this emotional drama. Writer Sankalp Sadanah sets the tone early on: Vaani is left heartbroken after being abandoned on her wedding day. Six months later, she’s rebuilding her life, starting anew as an intern journalist. That’s when she crosses paths with Krish—a hot-headed, troubled musician chasing stardom. Amid personal turmoil, the two find unexpected comfort in each other. Their bond deepens into love, only to be tested by an unforeseen tragedy.
The film’s initial warmth and fuzzy romance lay a strong emotional foundation, hitting the right chords. However, when the tragedy unfolds, the narrative rushes through its impact, glossing over key emotional beats and weakening the overall conviction. While the story treads familiar ground, it finds a modern edge in today’s world of social media, reels, and creative collaborations.
Mohit Suri nails the emotional core, but the film suffers from uneven pacing—lingering too long in some places while rushing through crucial turning points. While several moments of raw emotion resonate, a hurried climax leaves the resolution feeling somewhat underwhelming. The film’s heart is amplified by a stirring soundtrack, composed by Faheem Abdullah, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishabh Kant, Vishal Mishra, Arslan Nizami, Mithoon, and Sachet–Parampara. John Stewart Eduri’s background score further deepens the emotional texture. Vikas Sivaraman’s cinematography adds a rich cinematic layer, capturing both the charged energy of live performances and the intimate quiet of tender moments with equal finesse.
Ahaan Panday delivers a striking debut, effortlessly balancing the raw swagger of a rising star with the emotional depth required as the story unfolds. His talent shines brightest in the finale, where he revisits an earlier moment with renewed intensity—evoking shades of Virat ‘King’ Kohli—as initial passion gives way to heartfelt emotion. Aneet Padda impresses in both romantic and dramatic scenes, bringing a graceful yet assertive presence to the screen. She particularly stands out in an early recording studio scene, where she reflects on the timeless power of emotion in music over fleeting trends—a moment that encapsulates her quiet strength.
