Actor and producer Ryan Reynolds made a surprise appearance at his superstar friend Taylor Swift’s concert in Madrid, as reported by People. Reynolds, 47, joined his wife Blake Lively in the audience at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium to witness the Grammy winner’s Eras Tour for the second night in Madrid. Lively, 36, had previously attended Swift’s first concert in Madrid, where she watched from the floor alongside their children.
During the concert, Lively was spotted enthusiastically jumping up and down and dancing along as Swift performed her hit song “Shake It Off.”
Other celebrity friends of Swift, including Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, were also seen enjoying the concert alongside her in the crowd. Earlier this month, Reynolds mentioned during an appearance on Today with Hoda and Jenna that he planned to attend Swift’s show in Madrid. “This will be my first because this last year and a half I’ve been trapped in a non-stop work bubble and it’s a problem,” he jokingly shared with the co-hosts.
“I sought help, and I received it. ‘Intervention’ is the term they’re using,” he disclosed during his appearance, mentioning that his children had already attended “five or six” Eras Tour shows. “They adore it, they’re absolutely enamored,” he remarked on Today. The couple shares four children: James, 9; Inez, 7; Betty, 4; and a fourth baby whose name has yet to be disclosed.
During the event on May 29, Swift made reference to the couple’s three children. While strumming her guitar onstage, she addressed Lively’s kids, stating, “I must mention that in Folklore, some of my favorite characters are named James, Inez, and Betty.” The singer was alluding to her album Folklore, which includes the song “Betty,” featuring the names of all three of Lively’s older children.
The Wolverine star revealed that he and Lively kept their daughters’ names hidden until the track “Betty” was completed, sharing in a SiriusXM Town Hall interview in August 2021, “We surprised them with it.” “They had no clue,” he added, as per a report by People.
