Natasha Lyonne returns with her signature quirky charm as Charlie Cale, whose uncanny ability to sense lies once again drives this delightfully offbeat series. Presented in a “case-of-the-week” format, the show balances standalone mysteries with a larger narrative thread centered on Charlie’s ongoing flight from danger. This season kicks off with Charlie still being hunted by the mob, bouncing from one strange scenario to the next and encountering a colorful mix of allies and adversaries.
Beatrix Hasp remains a looming threat, propelling Charlie’s journey until their storyline is finally wrapped up by the third episode—which delivers not one but two entertaining whodunits. The season premiere features Cynthia Erivo in a dazzling turn as sextuplets, and when their ruthless mother turns up dead, Charlie teams up with one of the sisters to investigate. The episode is wonderfully chaotic—watching six versions of Erivo feels like a surreal fever dream.
