Our Little Secret (Netflix) Review :-
Following Meet Me Next Christmas, Hot Frosty, and The Merry Gentlemen, we finally have a Lindsay Lohan holiday film to look forward to. After Irish Wish and Falling For Christmas, Our Little Christmas arrives, packed with all the festive cheer and beloved tropes that make the holiday season so special.
The problem with this Christmas film is that it feels completely forgettable in every way. It’s weighed down by too many predictable tropes and features characters who are basic, uninspired, and frankly dull. While tropes can work well in holiday movies, the characters need to be endearing and engaging. Unfortunately, this film offers neither. While Logan brings some charm to his role, both Ian Harding and Jon Rudnitsky’s characters are so forgettable that you don’t find yourself rooting for either one to end up with the leading lady.
The standout performance comes from Kristin Chenoweth, whose portrayal of the over-the-top mother-in-law Erica is the film’s most entertaining part. She brings a fantastic, memorable energy to the role. Beyond that, the film falls into the trap of recycling tired situations that fail to deliver laughs. For instance, when Lohan’s character Avery accidentally consumes something with THC, her bizarre behavior quickly stops being funny and turns into an eye-roll moment instead.
From that point on, the film veers into pure absurdity, and you can’t help but laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. The craziness is actually a welcome shift—it keeps the boredom at bay and pulls you into the sheer goofiness on screen. The vet scene was probably my favorite—it’s completely brainless, but, as mentioned, it’s the absurdity that ends up being entertaining.
In the end, Our Little Secret stumbles as it tries to be everything and nothing all at once. It lacks any standout moments that would set it apart from other films in the genre, leaving you feeling bored after watching the same tired tropes play out. The issue isn’t the tropes themselves, but rather that the film does nothing to break away from them. It’s a shame, especially since Lohan brings a sweet and relatable charm to her role.

Final Thought
Our Little Secret is forgettable and lacks anything truly memorable. It’s especially disappointing to see such flat, uninspired characters with little depth. However, as a Christmas movie, it still provides some entertainment. Despite relying on familiar tropes and silliness, there’s enough fun to keep viewers engaged for the most part.
