Nobody Wants This Episode 5 (Netflix) Review :-
Episode 5 of Nobody Wants This opens with a lively montage showcasing Joanne and Noah’s undeniable chemistry. However, Noah’s plans for a weekend getaway with Joanne are disrupted when his boss asks him to cover a shift at the temple. Meanwhile, Joanne has her own agenda, as she needs to meet with a couple of Spotify executives.
Tension arises between Morgan and Joanne during their next encounter, as they clash over their differing business approaches. While Joanne feels their relationship with Noah is becoming serious, Morgan remains skeptical about the whole situation.
Eventually, Morgan is left to handle the executive meeting on her own while Noah heads off to Camp Haverin with Joanne, blending business and pleasure. He introduces her as “his friend,” which throws a wrench in their plans to declare their relationship publicly.
While at the camp, Morgan reveals that the meeting with the executives is more significant than they thought. Malcolm Mille, who oversees the entire podcast division, is attending. Sasha is tasked with retrieving Joanne’s notes from her laptop, which he has at his place.
Morgan is in a panic, and Sasha points out that they both share the title of “loser sibling,” so they have that in common. He advises her on how to extend the meeting using a technique called “mirroring” to help her navigate the situation.
Meanwhile, at Camp, Rabbi Cohen arrives and speaks with Noah, who, unaware that Joanne is with him, urges her to stay hidden. Noah worries that being seen with Joanne could jeopardize his chances for a big promotion, complicating matters since Joanne isn’t Jewish.
This tension creates a rift between them, and Noah soon realizes he needs to make amends. Back home, Joanne joins Morgan, who is surprisingly holding her own in the meeting. The two women manage to impress the executives until Noah arrives and smoothly wins back Joanne’s favor. Eventually, Noah takes the plunge and formally asks her to be his girlfriend, to which Joanne happily agrees.
Final Thought
Nobody Wants This is a charming series, but much like the nice guy trope, it lacks the edge or excitement needed to leave a lasting impression. Without any real danger or thrills, it risks being easily forgotten, which is unfortunate for a Netflix show with potential.
While the cast delivers strong performances and the dialogue is engaging, the overarching narrative feels too conventional and doesn’t stand out among other romantic dramas. It’s a missed opportunity, as the series could benefit from more depth and intrigue to elevate its story.

Episode 6 of Nobody Wants This opens with Joanne and Morgan’s podcast struggling a bit. With their success on the line, Joanne’s more optimistic approach isn’t resonating well, and fans are calling out her dull stories, leading to a decline in listeners.
Eager to bring Noah into her world, Joanne decides to dive into Vanderpump Rules. Good grief, Noah—time to run. Run far away!
Joanne’s parents are on their way, and to make matters worse, her father is bringing along his new boyfriend. Anxious to make a good impression, Noah panics and changes into a completely different outfit, including a sport jacket that Joanne detests. To top it off, he brings flowers, but his attempts to impress fall flat. He becomes awkward, telling cringe-worthy jokes that leave Joanne cringing in embarrassment.
Meanwhile, at the sauna, Sasha has a conversation with his dad about the family business. He expresses his desire to become the vice president, and his determination pays off—he gets the green light. So, that’s one issue resolved!
Meanwhile, Morgan and Joanne sit by the pool, venting about Noah. They label his awkwardness as “the ick”—a small quirk or habit that, once noticed, can spiral into a reason for breaking up.
Back inside, Noah strikes up a conversation with Joanne’s mom, Lynne, who confides in him about her struggles and how she’s been barely holding it together. Realizing there’s more at stake, Noah heads outside to confront Joanne about this “ick” situation.
He explains that he was just trying to make a good impression, which resonates with Joanne. She begins to see things from his perspective and softens. Meanwhile, Morgan and Sasha exchange playful messages, trading banter as they connect.
Final Thought
In this episode, the main conflict revolves around Joanne and Morgan being put off by Noah trying too hard, which they claim is a major turn-off. The show seems to be grasping for conflicts to keep the couple’s storyline moving, but the issues feel contrived and are resolved far too quickly by the episode’s end, doing little to benefit the series.
Similarly, the Sasha subplot falls flat. The issue is resolved almost as soon as it’s introduced, leaving little room for tension or development. Overall, the subplots in this episode feel underwhelming, and this one is a prime example of the show’s struggle to create meaningful drama.
