Nick Jonas, the husband of Priyanka Chopra and a singer, discloses that he has received a diagnosis of Influenza A. He expresses feelings of disappointment over the necessity to reschedule the concert.
Actress Priyanka Chopra’s husband, singer Nick Jonas, recently shared a video announcing that he has contracted influenza A. In a post on his Instagram account last Friday, Nick expressed regret over his inability to perform onstage due to his illness.
He apologized to his fans for the inconvenience caused by the rescheduling of the Jonas Brothers’ show dates. Originally set to perform in Mexico over the weekend, Nick, alongside Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas, disclosed that the shows will now take place in August. Nick captioned the video, “Hi guys. I have come down with the nasty strain of influenza A that’s been going around, and I’m not able to sing at the moment. We always want to be able to give you guys the best show, and I’m just not able to do that for these shows in Mexico at this time. These shows are now rescheduled for August. Mexico City: 8/21 and 8/22 Monterrey: 8/24 and 8/25. We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience this causes some of you. Love you all. You’re the best fans in the world. Will bring 120% in August!”
In the video, Nick shared, “Hey everybody, it’s Nick here. I have some not-so-fun news to share. A couple of days ago, I started feeling kind of rough; I lost my voice when I woke up and toughed that night out. Over the last two, two and a half days, it’s gotten progressively worse. I was basically in bed all day yesterday, fever, body ache, sore throat, and a really bad cough.” He mentioned that despite the doctor’s examination, his health hadn’t improved.
He went on to say, “I just need to recover and beat this thing. I’m so sorry. I hate disappointing you guys. You do so much to support us. A lot of you have traveled out to be at that show. Just want to say I’m heartbroken over this. Again, I’m really sorry, but I gotta try to beat this thing.”
On their upcoming schedule, the Jonas Brothers will be performing in Ireland followed by the UK, Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland in September. Their final show will be in Poland on October 16.
On a personal note, Nick is married to Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, and the couple are parents to daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Nick and Priyanka are known for their love-filled relationship and make a stunning pair. Priyanka will be seen next in “Heads of State” and will also star in “The Bluff.”
