Neena Gupta recently opened up about her experience filming Panchayat 3, revealing her discontent during the shooting process.
Renowned Bollywood actress Neena Gupta, celebrated for her remarkable versatility and nuanced performances, has been a prominent figure in the industry for many years. As she prepares for her forthcoming series, Panchayat 3, she candidly addresses the challenges faced during filming, particularly amidst the summer season.
Neena Gupta shared that the new season’s filming coincided with summer due to scheduling conflicts among the actors, resulting in sweltering conditions on set. She confessed to feeling frustrated on one occasion while shooting under the blazing summer sun.
Neena Gupta was not happy shooting for Panchayat 3
During an interview with Mirchi Plus, Neena Gupta expressed, “I am happiest when I am working. At that time, I am not bothered about sand, 47-degree heat, and all if the work is good. When we did Season 3 of Panchayat, we again shot in peak summer because of date issues of people. We would keep wet cloths on our faces and necks. No matter how many umbrellas you have, when you are getting ready for a shot, before ‘sound’ and ‘action,’ some time is taken to get the shot ready.”
Recalling a specific scene she filmed for the upcoming season, Neena recounted standing under the blazing sun as the director signaled the start of filming. She remarked, “In one shot, I was standing under the blazing sun, and the director announced ‘Sound, action,’ so the umbrellas were removed. But it took some time to get the shot started, and I was burning. I was complaining to myself, saying, ‘Ye kya hai? (What is this?)’”
Neena further shared that she soon realized a valuable life lesson: avoidance wasn’t an option; she had to proceed with the scene. Embracing this realization, she found solace in acceptance.
Neena Gupta reveals having freedom to choose films
During the interview, Neena Gupta also revealed that she now enjoys the freedom to choose her film roles. She recalled being approached for a lucrative advertisement offer, acknowledging the financial potential of such opportunities. However, she ultimately decided to turn down the offer due to concerns about the brand’s potential adverse effects on health.

However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the former secretary, Jitendra Kumar, is called back. Featuring Raghubir Yadav, Jitendra Kumar, Chandan Roy, and Faisal Malik, Panchayat 3 is scheduled to debut on Prime Video on May 28th.
