My Fault (AmazonPrimeVideo) Review :-

Your Fault is such a frustratingly tedious film that each scene feels like a reminder of every unfortunate moment in my life. It’s the second installment of the franchise, following the equally dreadful My Fault, which was so badly executed that it made me want to retreat to the mountains and never return. Yet, somehow, it gained enough popularity to warrant a sequel. After the endless string of franchises like 365 Days and the After series, I’m honestly not surprised.

Your Fault continues the trend with its tired, clichéd storyline and lifeless performances. It’s neither entertaining nor well-crafted. The film drags on, veering into irrelevant subplots that clearly exist because there’s simply nothing else to explore. It stretches reality to its breaking point, leaving you questioning how any of this could even happen. Fans of other similarly awful films will recognize the predictable patterns, as this movie offers nothing new or unique, failing to distinguish itself in any meaningful way.

It’s surprising, in 2024, to see adults who, with nothing better to do, cartoonishly devise ways to stop young people from dating. I’m not here to dive into the whole stepsibling romance thing, but honestly, when has trying to prevent young adults from dating ever actually worked? It’s so ridiculous and pointless that you can’t help but roll your eyes at every scene. The film also introduces a random subplot involving Lion and some drug-related issues that feels completely out of place, adds no real substance, and serves only to stretch the runtime.

The real issue with this film, and others like it, is its reliance on shock value with absolutely no logic to back it up. Events unfold in a haphazard sequence with no real connection, forcing you to sit through two hours of nonsensical drama strung together by Noah and Nick making out endlessly. It’s uncomfortable, crass, and bizarre. Every character seems to harbor some secret, yet they continue to engage in shady behavior that only exposes the truth. There’s a constant cycle of sleeping with one another, and after a while, it becomes clear that the sex and nudity aren’t about romance – they’re just there to draw attention. There’s no warmth or emotional depth, and you never find yourself rooting for any of the characters.

Your Fault introduces two new characters – Briar and Sofia – but neither of them is given enough background to make you care. They’re simply added to create tension and provoke pointless arguments between the protagonists. The film attempts to make you invest in their issues, but it ends up doing the opposite, leaving you questioning why anyone would find this kind of dysfunction and toxicity romantic.

My Fault (AmazonPrimeVideo) Trailor :-

The film also struggles with its acting. None of the performances are strong enough to leave any lasting impression. The already ridiculous storyline is further hindered by poor and lifeless acting, especially from the leads. The actors either seem completely disengaged or just deliver flat, emotionless performances. Your Fault fails to evoke any real feeling – there’s no sense of love or excitement, and the drama feels stale and overdone, leaving you feeling more frustrated than entertained.

Final Thought

Your Fault is a baffling and poorly executed film, with lackluster performances all around. The drama and explicit scenes seem designed solely to grab attention, with no real substance or logic behind them. The franchise is set to continue with another installment, Our Fault, because apparently, the goal is to keep pushing out chaos without regard for the audience’s sanity.
