As the weeks progress, the competition on MTV Splitsvilla X5 escalates, keeping viewers enthralled with its shocking twists and unexpected eliminations. In the latest episode, Khank Waghnani bid farewell to the show as she faced eviction, while Adit Minocha remains in the fray. Following Khank’s departure, Pinkvilla had an exclusive conversation with her, delving into her journey on MTV Splitsvilla X5. She offered insights into her interactions with fellow contestants and shared thoughts on her connection with Adit Minocha. Here are some highlights from the interview:
Now that you’re evicted, do you fear that Adit will find a new connection in MTV Splitsvilla X5?
I’m not afraid that Adit will form a new bond with someone else. I believe he might establish a connection within the villa for strategic reasons, to progress in the competition. However, I doubt it would be a genuine romantic connection because I have full faith in him, and he has assured me that he will never betray my trust. Therefore, I hope this scenario doesn’t unfold.
Furthermore, I trust Adit not to go to such lengths merely for the sake of the game. He won’t go against his word and pursue a new romantic interest behind my back. Even though I’ve been evicted, I don’t think he would pursue a romantic connection. I want him to emerge as the winner of the show, so if forming alliances and strategizing for the game is necessary, I support him in that endeavor.
According to you, which couple is faking their connection in the show, or whose connection do you think is weak?
In my opinion, the connection between Addy and Kashish (Kashish Kapoor) appears very artificial. Similarly, I feel that the bond between Ishita (Ishita Rawat) and Sachin (Sachin Sharma) lacks genuine chemistry or emotions. It seems to be purely strategic, driven by the dynamics of the game. Therefore, I consider these connections to be insincere and fragile.
Name that one couple with whom you can never be friends
I doubt I’ll ever form a friendship with Deekila and Aniket. Throughout the show, there were moments where I wished Deekila would stand up for me, but she often reacted poorly when it came to matters concerning me. Aniket didn’t fare much better; he didn’t take a stand either.
Even when I supported Aniket in a previous elimination by not nominating Deekila or him, they didn’t reciprocate the gesture. Instead, they voted against Nayera and Arbaaz, who were our opponents. This lack of reciprocity made me question their trustworthiness.
You and Adit missed the chance to go in front of the oracle initially. Do you think you guys would have been declared as the ‘ideal match’ in front of the oracle?
Adit and I fought tirelessly for that opportunity. We had been winning challenges consistently, either individually or with the support of our friends. Finally, we got our chance to perform together, completing two tasks consecutively, and it brought us immense joy.
I was fully prepared to confront the Oracle and inquire about our compatibility as a perfect match. My conviction was firm that Adit and I were indeed the perfect match, especially after assuring Dev to trust me. I knew that sacrificing Dev’s trust wasn’t necessary because Adit and I were meant to be together.
If there had been even a shred of doubt that Adit and I weren’t compatible, I wouldn’t have risked Dev’s friendship. If given the option to face the Oracle with someone else, I would have declined, knowing that Adit and I weren’t destined for each other, thus sparing Dev’s feelings.
However, I was completely certain that Adit and I were ideal for each other. Despite not being chosen, I accepted it graciously; it was a close decision. It’s disappointing when people betray your trust or fail to keep their promises, but it’s a reality of such situations.
If given a chance to enter as a wild card contestant, and if Adit is not there in the show, will you still go?
The game has always held significant importance for me. Without Adit on the show, I would have been torn. He’s my connection, and his absence would have left me uncertain about my next steps. Despite the likelihood of being dumped by others, I would have considered giving it another shot because I believe in my abilities to perform well. Perhaps I could have established a new game connection and progressed further.
I believe Adit would have wanted the same for me. It would have been ideal for at least one of us to reach the semi-finals, purely from a strategic standpoint. Love wouldn’t have factored into it; it would have been solely about the game.
According to you, which couple is capable of winning Splitsvilla 15?
In my opinion, Siwet and Anicka stand out as strong competitors whom I admire. I’ve expressed my desire for them to emerge victorious in the past, and that sentiment remains unchanged. Their authenticity is evident, and I genuinely believe in their capabilities. Their performances speak volumes, and I firmly believe they have what it takes to win.
Digvijay, Unnati, Shobhika, Yuvraj, Akriti, and Anicka: Describe these contestants according to their personalities in one word.
Digvijay Singh Rathee: He comes across as manipulative and cunning, often saying things to suit his convenience. However, I haven’t interacted with him much beyond that.
Unnati Tomar: To me, she appeared rather passive during the show, seemingly revolving her actions around Digvijay. Her personality didn’t leave much of an impression.
Shobhika Bali: Despite my fondness for Shobhika, watching the episodes made me see her as somewhat attention-seeking, relying on her association with Harsh and Rushali throughout the season rather than putting in substantial effort herself.
Yuvraj Bass: I’d describe him as immature, especially considering his behavior towards Ruru and his naivety in relationships due to being kept in the dark about certain matters. Given his youth, it’s somewhat understandable.
Akriti Negi: My perception of her is that she comes off as fake, as her on-camera persona differs significantly from her off-camera self. It seems she prioritizes content and footage over authenticity, earning her the label of ‘footage queen’.
Anicka Sharma: In contrast, Anicka strikes me as genuinely sincere. Despite her competitive nature, she never let the game dictate her life, maintaining a relaxed and casual approach. This genuine demeanor resonated strongly with me.
MTV Splitsvilla X5, hosted by Sunny Leone and Tanuj Virwani, premiered on March 30, 2024. Fresh episodes air every Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m.
