Ameha Gurung, a recently evicted contestant from MTV Splitsvilla X5, delved into her experiences on the show, shedding light on her former connection with Dev Karan Sharma and addressing the reasons behind their abrupt breakup.
If you were not evicted, do you think you would have performed better with someone else besides Dev?
Certainly, I’m quite confident about that. Considering my consistent performance since the beginning of the show, I believe I wasn’t given ample opportunities to showcase my abilities. Given the chance to perform either with someone else or independently, I am convinced I would have excelled further.
You and Dev Karan were not declared as an ideal pair by the Oracle. Do you think Dev decided to explore his connection after that?
We discussed the possibility of visiting the oracle together, but ultimately, we didn’t emerge as an ideal match. Strategically speaking, being an ideal match offers the most security in the game. Hence, we mutually agreed that if the opportunity arose, we would pursue ideal matches with other partners.
In the dynamics of the game, individuals deemed unsafe provide an opening for those deemed safe to visit the oracle. So, if circumstances permitted and I found myself in the safe zone while Dev remained unsafe, I would certainly pursue an ideal match with someone else, and Dev shared the same viewpoint. However, events unfolded in an unexpected manner. While the notion of pursuing an ideal match was one thing, engaging in flirtations and exploring connections with others presented a different scenario altogether.
Did your relationship with Dev Karan deteriorate after Shubhi joined the show?
Yes, indeed. Even before Shubhi (Shubhi Joshi) joined, there were several issues. I was falsely accused of exploring connections with Aniket and Rigden, which simply wasn’t true. I never engaged in any such exploration with them. However, when Shubhi entered the scene, Dev Karan swiftly began exploring and flirting with her, even reciting shayaris, which was blatant and excessive. That behavior was completely unacceptable to me. After witnessing that, I was completely done with him.
Is Dev in the show for the game and not to find a partner? What are your thoughts on this?
Dev’s primary focus in the show is undoubtedly the game. Of course, everyone is there for the game, but my hope was to establish a genuine connection with Dev while also participating in the game. I believed I could achieve both. However, it became evident to me that Dev’s intentions were solely centered around the game.
According to you, who is the most genuine couple in Splitsvilla 15 and why?
Dewangini and Divyansh make the most adorable couple, and their connection seems destined to endure even beyond the show. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they decide to tie the knot someday?
