SonyLIV’s Mayasabha dives into the turbulent and blood-soaked political history of Andhra Pradesh through the intertwined lives of two friends, Krishnama Naidu and MS Rami Reddy. Set against the dramatic backdrop of 1970s India, their differing political views often clash and converge amid shocking events. The series features short, fast-paced episodes that trace their journey from before their political careers, though at times it leans into melodrama and includes more songs than necessary.

Overall, Mayasabha is quite entertaining. Fans of political thrillers will find themselves engaged, while those who enjoy a touch of drama will also be drawn in. The show captures the complex dynamics between the two men as they navigate personal struggles and political battles. Mayasabha is a mix of engaging moments and lengthy stretches. While the evolving dynamic between Reddy and Naidu keeps things interesting, some parts of the backstory drag on a bit too long to hold your attention fully. Still, it’s the push-and-pull between the two leads that manages to keep you hooked, even if only intermittently.
