Mastiii 4 Review :-

Four films in, the Masti franchise knows exactly what it aims to be — and rarely pretends otherwise. Viewers walking into Mastiii 4 will immediately recognize its familiar setup: three men worn down by marital monotony, chasing a bit of “harmless fun,” only to tumble into a storm of chaos, misunderstandings, and innuendo-laced humor. While this formula has sparked laughs in the past, the fourth installment leans more on nostalgia and over-the-top antics than on genuine novelty. The result is a film that amuses in flashes but ultimately feels stretched thin, predictable, and often grating.

Set in the UK, the film follows neighbours and longtime friends Amar (Riteish Deshmukh), Meet (Vivek Oberoi), and Prem (Aftab Shivdasani), each trapped in their own flavor of marital monotony. Amar is married to Bindiya (Elnaaz Norouzi), whose charity obsession borders on the absurd. Meet is smothered by the hyper-suspicion of his wife Anchal (Shreya Sharma), who monitors his vitals and daily behaviour through an app synced to his phone. Prem, a doctor, lives with Geeta (Ruhi Singh), whose enthusiastic adherence to every religious ritual sparks constant comedic friction. When the trio attempts to spice up their humdrum lives, their harmless escapade quickly escalates into a high-stakes fiasco. Things grow even more chaotic when their wives decide to indulge in some “masti” of their own, adding an extra dose of mayhem.

Director Milap Milan Zaveri—who co-writes the film with Farrokh Dhondy—banks heavily on the trio’s chemistry, and to his credit, the camaraderie between Vivek, Aftab, and Riteish remains the franchise’s strongest asset. Their boisterous yet sincere performances and effortless banter hold several scenes together. Zaveri also peppers the film with Bollywood spoofs, from a playful Animal nod (“sunai de raha hai, behra nahi hoon main”) to a recreated Amar Akbar Anthony gag. Some jokes land, while others are stretched too far, draining the humour before it fully hits.

The film moves briskly, but its dependence on cringe-driven humour quickly wears thin. Much of the comedy leans on overused sexual innuendos, exaggerated slapstick, and genital jokes that feel outdated even for an adult-comedy setup. While a handful of punchlines land, many more irritate rather than entertain. The script begs for sharper wit and fresher comedic ideas. The songs add little beyond padding the runtime, with none leaving a lasting impression.

Performance-wise, the cast commits fully to the film’s unapologetic tone. Riteish Deshmukh stands out as the most consistent, delivering his lines with spot-on timing. Aftab Shivdasani, in keeping with his franchise persona, is loud but occasionally effective, while Vivek Oberoi seems unexpectedly fatigued, missing the spark required for such high-energy humour. Among the cameos, Arshad Warsi brings dependable laughs, and Nargis Fakhri adds a pleasant touch.

Mastiii 4 Trailor :-

The supporting cast delivers a mixed bag of performances. Tusshar Kapoor, as Don Pablo, lands some laughs, though his over-the-top Bihari accent often distracts. Shaad Randhawa is competent as the investigating cop, and Nishant Malkhani makes a respectable, if limited, debut. Among the women, Elnaaz Norouzi has the most substantial role and performs well despite her noticeable accent; Ruhi Singh is adequate, while debutante Shreya Sharma is serviceable but largely unremarkable. Their efforts to boost the film’s glamour factor are fleeting and ultimately leave little impact.

Final Thought

Ultimately, Mastiii 4 is aimed squarely at fans of adult comedies who relish over-the-top silliness, boisterous performances, and low-brow humour. It delivers a few laughs and a dose of familiar nostalgia for franchise devotees. For everyone else, however, it comes across as loud, uneven, and frequently cringe-worthy — a ride best skipped.
