I can’t stress enough how many shows I’ve invested myself in, only to be disappointed by an overly cheesy ending or a finale that leaves more questions than answers (I’m looking at you, Good Girls). Without revealing any crucial plot points, I can confidently say that I was pleased with the conclusion of Lucifer, as it provided fans with closure in the final episode.
The season six trailer offers glimpses of various aspects of the show without giving away too much. We see Lucifer preparing to take on his father’s throne and become God, along with glimpses of his glamorous lifestyle, a mysterious and formidable young woman portrayed by Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool), and the promise of numerous twists and turns that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. While binge-watching the season may be tempting, I recommend taking breaks between episodes to fully absorb the experience.
“Tom Ellis is as charming as ever as Lucifer, which is still a confusing thing to say about the actual Devil.” Over the past five seasons, Lucifer has been entertaining, suspenseful, and enjoyable, but season six introduces a heavier tone. Serious issues are tackled in every episode, providing viewers with little respite from the emotional rollercoaster. Despite this, the show had me hooked from the start, and I finished it in just two sittings.
Tom Ellis delivers a captivating performance, portraying Lucifer with depth and complexity. His portrayal of the character’s fear, remorse, love, and heartbreak adds layers to the series and elevates it to new heights. Each character receives a meaningful send-off in the finale, with individual storylines that resonate with fans. While there may be a few plot holes and leaps of faith required to fully appreciate the ending, Lucifer ultimately delivers a satisfying conclusion that will leave fans satisfied.
In conclusion, season six of Lucifer is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, with highs that soar and lows that tug at the heartstrings. Tom Ellis’s performance shines, adding extra depth to the final episodes. While no series is without its flaws, Lucifer manages to tie up its loose ends nicely, providing a fitting conclusion for fans who have followed the show for the past six seasons. If you’ve been watching from the beginning, don’t miss out on season six. And if you’re new to the series, Netflix has everything you need to dive in—and I highly recommend you do.
