Following the viral video depicting a heated exchange between LSG’s owner and KL Rahul, Kundali Bhagya actor Abhishek Kapur voiced his support for the cricketer.

Yesterday, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad clinched a remarkable 10-wicket victory over the Lucknow Super Giants. However, the latter’s substantial defeat seemingly did not sit well with the team’s owner.

A video capturing the LSG owner engaged in a heated conversation with skipper KL Rahul surfaced on social media, quickly going viral. The clip has sparked widespread criticism from netizens. Joining the chorus, actor Abhishek Kapur, known for his role in Kundali Bhagya, has extended his support to KL Rahul.

Abhishek Kapur gained prominence for his role in Kundali Bhagya but exited the show in May 2023, opting for a travel-filled journey.

Following the viral video depicting LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka’s altercation with team captain KL Rahul, social media platforms have been abuzz with varied reactions. Many netizens have condemned Goenka’s behavior and expressed outrage over his public criticism of the cricketer.

Meanwhile, actor Abhishek Kapur from Kundali Bhagya also weighed in on the incident. Reacting to a social media post, he commented, “Not cool at all … KL is a fantastic cricketer, leader, and a great human being … breaks my heart seeing him being treated like this … discuss in private next time!”

On the cricket field, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowlers put up a strong performance, restricting Lucknow Super Giants to 165 runs while taking wickets at regular intervals. Bhuvneshwar Kumar impressed with two wickets in his initial three overs, dismissing Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis. Despite this, LSG managed to set a target of 166 before SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

During the second innings, SRH’s opening batters displayed their explosive batting skills, dominating the game. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma successfully chased the target in just 9.4 overs, with boundaries flowing from both ends. SRH’s innings included 16 fours and 14 sixes.

In addition to losing to SRH in their last match, LSG also faced defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their previous match.
