Accompanied by her mother, Gauahar Khan arrived at a polling booth to cast her vote. However, she soon exited the premises, expressing dissatisfaction with the organization. While leaving in her car, she shared updates on Instagram, explaining that her name was not on the voters’ list. She expressed frustration at seeing names of long-term absentees on the list while hers was missing.

Highlighting her concerns, the winner of Bigg Boss 7 appealed to the Election Commission and relevant authorities to address the issue and enable citizens to vote using their Aadhar cards. She argued that since the Aadhar card is accepted for various governmental and legal purposes, it should also be considered valid for voting. The actress conveyed her disappointment at being unable to exercise her voting right.

Later, Gauahar Khan updated her social media followers, sharing that she successfully managed to vote after resolving the issue. In a detailed post, she recounted her experience of visiting multiple polling booths in search of her name, eventually registering at her previous address from 15 years ago. Encouraging others not to give up, she stressed the importance of making the extra effort to navigate through procedures and exercise one’s voting right.

In her post, she emphasized the significance of perseverance, urging everyone to locate their respective booths and cast their votes. Reflecting on her own challenging journey, she revealed the frustration of discovering her and her family’s names missing from the voter list at their current address, while those who had left the area years ago were still listed. However, she persisted in her search, eventually locating her booth at her old address alongside her senior citizen mother, who instilled patriotic values in her since childhood.

Gauahar Khan underlined her determination not to waste her vote, highlighting it as a citizen’s duty and right in a democracy. Known for her roles in projects like Ishaqzaade and Bigg Boss 7, she is married to Zaid Darbar and is a mother to one-year-old Zehaan.
