Amitabh Bachchan urges Mumbaikars to vote tomorrow with a fun video
After four years, the citizens of the country once again have the opportunity to make a critical decision for the nation. On May 20, residents of the polling constituencies in Maharashtra can exercise their voting power and cast their ballots for the political party of their choice.
This includes six constituencies in Mumbai scheduled for polls on Monday. To ensure every voter can make a difference in the ongoing General Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Amitabh Bachchan made a special appeal.
Taking to Instagram, the megastar shared an animated video featuring several jungle animals dancing to a lively remake of the popular song “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai,” originally picturized on Sonam Kapoor in the movie Khoobsurat. Big B captioned the video, “Tomorrow is your day to Vote Mumbai/Maharashtra. Exercise your right.”
In addition to the Piku actor, numerous Bollywood stars such as Ayushmann Khurrana, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Rajkummar Rao, Emraan Hashmi, Bhumi Pednekar, Vishal Dadlani, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Jackky Bhagnani, among others, took to social media to urge their fans to vote.
According to News 18, Maharashtra will witness polling in 13 Lok Sabha constituencies tomorrow, including Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Kalyan, Palghar, Bhiwandi, Thane, Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central, and Mumbai South.
To encourage citizens to vote, all schools, colleges, and banks will remain closed in the parliamentary constituencies scheduled for polls on Monday.
