Logout (Zee5) Review :-

ZEE5’s Logout is a no-frills, straight-up thriller that keeps things simple and engaging. The story centers on an influencer who’s glued to his phone and relentlessly chasing the milestone of 10 million followers. But things take a dark turn when he loses his phone—only for it to fall into the hands of an obsessive superfan willing to go to extreme lengths just to get noticed.

As mentioned, the film keeps things simple and gets to the point without dragging its feet. Its brisk pacing is one of its strongest assets—it avoids unnecessary detours while still giving the protagonist, Pratyush, enough room to prove he’s more than just a clueless influencer. Under pressure, he shows creativity and resourcefulness, which makes him surprisingly likeable. Flawed as he is, you can’t help but root for him.

The portrayal of influencer culture is both relatable and unsettling, shining a light on the alarming extent to which today’s youth are tethered to their devices. While it occasionally leans into the familiar “phones are bad” narrative that these kinds of films often fall into, the story’s core keeps it from becoming too preachy. Watching the chaos unravel is genuinely thrilling, and even though Pratyush sometimes makes bafflingly poor choices, it effectively underscores just how deep his obsession with his online identity runs.

Logout does a solid job of navigating the complexities of its premise without getting too preachy or downplaying the absurdity of Pratyush’s desperation for his phone and his not-so-subtly disguised “Instagram” account. It strikes a good balance and delivers enough tension to keep things engaging. Even though the stakes are relatively low and the problem could’ve been resolved much more easily, the story still manages to pull you in.

However, the film stumbles a bit in its final act. While the first half is well-executed, the climax leans into the over-the-top territory. The resolution doesn’t quite land—it’s not as satisfying or logical as it needs to be, and some of the choices feel far-fetched. Without spoiling anything, the twist involving the stalker could’ve used a more grounded and convincing payoff. Still, despite its flaws, Logout remains an entertaining ride.

Logout (Zee5) Trailor :-

That said, the film largely hinges on Babil Khan’s performance—and he rises to the occasion. He convincingly captures the anger, confusion, and emotional turmoil of his character as he navigates a life-altering journey.

Final Thought

Logout is a straightforward thriller that brings a fresh twist with its screenlife format. While computer screen films are familiar territory, this one successfully merges traditional elements with a modern approach, offering an entertaining experience. While it may not be the pinnacle of thrillers, Logout delivers a fun and enjoyable time for viewers.
