Life Hill Gayi (DisneyHotstar) Review :-

“Life Hill Gayi” focuses on the sibling rivalry between Kalki and Dev as they vie to revitalize their struggling ancestral hotel in a Uttarakhand village. Their grandfather (Kabir Bedi) challenges them to earn medals to inherit the property, which suffers from a lackluster staff and deteriorating village infrastructure. The siblings reluctantly take on the challenge, hoping that success will help them realize their future aspirations.

From the start, connecting with the characters and their actions proves difficult. Director Prem Mistry extends a straightforward plot set in the hills across six episodes, but the narrative never reaches a high point. Despite each episode being just over half an hour, none manage to fully engage or entertain the audience. While the episodes are linked, they fail to propel the underwhelming script forward in any significant way.

Life Hill Gayi (DisneyHotstar) Trailor :-

Divyendu Sharma, renowned for his dynamic and unpredictable portrayal of Munnabhai in ‘Mirzapur,’ takes a different turn as the charming yet slightly shrewd Dev. Unfortunately, the role lacks depth, limiting Sharma’s opportunity to fully display his talent. This limitation extends to the rest of the talented cast, including Kusha Kapila and Vinay Pathak, who plays the laid-back but unsuccessful father of Dev and Kalki. Mukti Mohan brings a likable presence as a small-town girl with modern perspectives yet strong cultural values.

One of the few redeeming aspects of the show is its depiction of the fresh and breezy ambiance of hill life, which stands out despite the weak writing. Slice-of-life stories often thrive on either humorous moments and amusing situations or a strong emotional connection with quirky characters. Unfortunately, ‘Life Hill Gayi’ falls short in both areas. Aside from an occasional scene or line, the show neither elicits any laughter nor offers emotional depth.

Overall, ‘Life Hill Gayi’ is yet another forgettable OTT series that misses the chance to make full use of its talented cast and stunning locations.
