Director Rian Johnson is back with the third installment of the beloved “Knives Out” series, making its exclusive debut on Netflix in 2025!
Netflix has unveiled that the third chapter of the acclaimed “Knives Out” saga, helmed by Rian Johnson, is scheduled to premiere in 2025. Daniel Craig reprises his role as the astute detective Benoit Blanc, returning to tackle his most perilous case yet. The film promises fans another riveting and intricate mystery to unravel, continuing the legacy of its predecessors.
With Johnson once again leading the charge, audiences can anticipate razor-sharp wit and unexpected plot twists at every turn! The teaser begins with Craig’s narration, setting the stage: “In the beginning, the knives came out. Then, behold, the glass was shattered. But my most dangerous case yet is about to be revealed.”
Johnson previously expressed his frustration with the “A Knives Out Mystery” tagline for the films’ titles, preferring that each installment be appreciated as a standalone feature. “Honestly, I’m frustrated that we have ‘A Knives Out Mystery’ in the title. You know? I want it to just be called ‘Glass Onion.’ I understand the need for continuity and for fans of the first movie to recognize this as part of the series, but for me, the appeal lies in each film being a fresh story. However, there’s immense pressure towards serialized storytelling,” he elaborated to The Atlantic.
