Story

The latest installment in the Apes franchise takes place many years after the events of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes. In this post-apocalyptic world, numerous ape societies have flourished since Caesar led his followers to an oasis, while humans have regressed to a primitive existence. Some ape factions are unfamiliar with Caesar’s legacy, while others have twisted his teachings to establish powerful realms. Amidst this backdrop, one ape leader begins enslaving other groups to acquire human technology, while another ape, who witnessed his kin being captured, sets out on a quest for liberation. A young human woman becomes pivotal to the latter’s journey, though she harbors her own agenda.
