Kinda Pregnant (Netflix) Story :-
The romantic comedy starring Amy Schumer promised a hilarious ride, but unfortunately, the film ended up being more awkward than funny. In this Kinda Pregnant review, we break down what the film really delivers before you decide to watch. While it has a few strong comedic moments and some clever dialogue, it ultimately falls short when compared to the bigger picture of this supposed entertainer.

Kinda Pregnant (Netflix) Review :-
The film follows Lainey, a woman who has always dreamed of starting a family and experiencing motherhood. However, after a sudden breakup and learning that her best friend is pregnant, she can’t help but feel envious. But things take a bizarre turn when she decides to fake a pregnancy, sporting a fake bump and pretending to be expecting to those around her. The situation spirals further when she unexpectedly meets the man of her dreams while parading her fake pregnancy.
If you’re prepared for a flood of cringe-worthy moments that will make you squirm with second-hand embarrassment, then this is the movie for you. These moments are endless, and it’s hard to shake off the frustration as you watch Lainey continuously make one bad decision after another. I went in hoping for a charming rom-com, but instead, I was left with nothing but embarrassment over the lead’s actions.
While the actors’ performances align with their characters, they can’t quite compensate for the many flaws in the script. There are moments where the dialogue delivers the comedy I was hoping for, but these are quickly overshadowed by the “humor” that comes from scenes of pregnant women farting or screaming in a room together. The way these scenes are handled left me cringing at the script.
I get the point of showing the clash between a main character who idealizes pregnancy and motherhood, only to be confronted with the reality of it when she interacts with real pregnant women during her fake pregnancy. But that doesn’t mean the realistic aspects need to be exaggerated just to force comedy into the film. Honestly, the interactions between Lainey, Josh, and Fallon, with their subtle moments, were far more entertaining than the entire movie. To top it off, you can clearly see the chaos being shoehorned into the plot in an attempt to extract as much entertainment as possible, but it ultimately falls flat.
With such a talented cast, this film had the potential to be much better if it had made full use of their abilities. Unfortunately, what we’re left with is a film that feels like a wasted opportunity. There’s no real flow to the story, no chemistry between the characters, and a disjointed sex scene (while understandable, it’s still jarring). The characters come across as artificial, ruining the overall mood, and there are more flaws than redeeming qualities. Ultimately, the film falls short, leaving us more disappointed than entertained.

Final Thought
Kinda Pregnant is the kind of film you’d be better off skipping. Despite a great cast, the overall execution is a mess, making it more of a last resort when there’s nothing else to watch. It doesn’t deliver the entertainment I was hoping for and certainly falls short of being a decent rom-com.
