Emmy-winning game show host Keke Palmer marked Mother’s Day with a heartfelt post, sharing a picture with her son and expressing the profound joy of motherhood: “I gave LIFE! Greatest day of my life. Nothing else matters.”
Recently, Keke Palmer celebrated her son’s first birthday, marking the occasion by introducing him to the world as Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson. Speaking to People at the 28th Annual Webby Awards on May 13, the multi-talented 30-year-old opened up about the birthday celebrations. Additionally, she penned a lengthy, heartfelt note on social media to commemorate the special day.

Palmer’s son celebrated his first birthday on February 1 this year. She shared that she took Leo to Camp Store, known for its various experiential activities for kids. Recalling the day, she mentioned, “They were doing one with Trolls so I got them all dressed up as a troll baby.” Leo was adorned as the character Branch from the movie, complete with “the blue hair,” she added. The mother-son duo also had a blast enjoying slides and other activities. Palmer described the experience as “fabulous and so much fun,” culminating in a little concert that she deemed “really good.”
Keke Palmer’s son’s birthday is the “greatest day of her life”
The former True Jackson, VP star shares her son Leo with her former partner, Darius Jackson. On Mother’s Day, Palmer posted a heartwarming picture of her son holding a popsicle, captioning it with profound gratitude: “I gave LIFE! Greatest day of my life. Nothing else matters.”
For Leo’s birthday, she penned a heartfelt note reflecting on his birth and the profound impact he has had on her life. “Leo Beo!! Happy Birthday son I LOVE YOU SO MUCH,” she wrote. “You came into my life today at 3:28pm, but I knew even before then that you were the strongest person I ever knew.”
Palmer expressed how Leo’s silent strength during her pregnancy brought her peace, and how his mere existence continues to be a source of strength for her. She shared her newfound clarity and purpose, saying, “since you my son, I have no confusion on why I am here!”
With deep love and devotion, Palmer expressed her willingness to do anything to protect her son, stating, “You are so special and so precious I would take a thousand bullets to the chest, run into a burning building, essentially I’d die a thousand deaths… or actually I’d LIVE, I’d live a million lives.”
Despite past challenges, Palmer emphasized her determination to embrace life fully for her son’s sake. She expressed her joy and gratitude for her son’s presence in her life, declaring, “I say YES and I say HELLO to LIFE because of YOU! I’m so happy for my son. Thank you God. I love you so much buddy.”
In a difficult turn of events, Palmer filed a petition for a temporary restraining order against Jackson in November last year, alleging instances of physical violence and seeking sole custody of their son. Both requests were approved in November 2023.
