KanKhajura (Sonyliv) Review :-

The story revolves around two brothers locked in a fierce struggle—one driven by love, the other by a thirst for power. Yet, in the end, both lose a part of themselves without even realizing it. The series is short but intense, packed with multiple storylines unfolding simultaneously. Aashu longs desperately for his brother’s attention and approval, something he has been denied since childhood. His need for acceptance pushes him to extreme lengths, even taking the blame for a murder charge to protect his brother.

Years after Aashu is sent to jail, the harsh bullying he endured comes back to haunt Max and his friends, as the once seemingly naive man returns, fueled by a thirst for revenge. The strongest aspect of the series is its complex characters—none of them are purely good or bad. Everyone looks out for themselves, and many are willing to betray others if it suits their interests. Yet, despite this murky moral landscape, viewers can’t help but root for Aashu; his innocence and the cruelty he faced create a compelling and sympathetic protagonist.

Max and his friends are nothing short of corrupt and cruel, making Max’s treatment of Aashu truly heartbreaking. You find yourself rooting for Aashu’s revenge to come to fruition. I thoroughly enjoyed this revenge tale from start to finish, with its twists and turns revealing the dark, tangled world of the building business and widespread corruption. Aashu’s clever ability to manipulate those around him adds an unsettling edge—his outwardly timid demeanor causes people to underestimate him, making his moves all the more surprising.

Roshan Mathew is outstanding as Aashu—you love him, you hate him, but you can’t ignore him. Mohit Raina plays Max, the slick, seemingly confident brother whose polished exterior slowly cracks to reveal a darker, more disturbing side. Their chemistry is electric, making their characters’ conflict feel real and compelling. Sarah Jane Dias also appears as Nisha, Max’s wife. Though her role stays mostly in the background, she delivers a powerful final twist that elevates the story and makes for a memorable watch.

KanKhajura (Sonyliv) Trailor :-

Overall, this psychological thriller is brief and fast-paced enough to hold your attention. The strong performances keep you invested, but I have to admit I never quite felt genuinely terrified—the series reveals too much too soon, rather than keeping its secrets under wraps. While it’s compelling that Aashu is behind the schemes, it would have been more effective if that twist came later. Instead, the show follows him on multiple outings early on, which diminishes the mystery and suspense.

Final Thought

KanKhajura may not be perfect, but it’s an enjoyable watch. I stayed entertained from start to finish, and given its short runtime, it’s definitely worth a watch—especially for the strong performances.
