In her recent vlog, Manisha Rani disclosed that she will have 50 percent of her Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 prize money deducted, and she hasn’t received it yet either.
Reality show celebrities have been gaining prominence lately. Shiv Thakare, a finalist of Bigg Boss 16 and winner of Bigg Boss Marathi, recently stirred headlines by revealing that he received only one-fourth of his winning amount. Following Shiv’s revelation, Manisha Rani, the winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, disclosed that she hasn’t received her prize of Rs 30 lakh yet, and when she does, she will only receive 50 percent of it. This revelation came during her latest vlog with content creator Mahesh Keshwala, also known as Thugesh, prompting Thugesh to comment, ‘This is the reality of reality shows.’
For those unfamiliar, three weeks ago, reality show star Shiv Thakare appeared on Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast. During the conversation, Shiv shared his experience of winning Bigg Boss Marathi, revealing that despite the winning amount being Rs 25 lakhs, he received only Rs 11.5 lakhs due to deductions. He also mentioned additional expenses he had to bear, such as clothing costs and his parents’ flight expenses, which were not covered by the show’s makers. Following Shiv’s revelation, Manisha Rani echoed similar sentiments about not receiving her winning amount from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.
In her recent vlog with Thugesh, Manisha humorously remarked, “The Jhalak winning amount still hasn’t come, and they will deduct half of it. People think it’s raining money in my life, but that only happens with those who have a Crorepati boyfriend, but neither do I have a Crorepati nor a boyfriend in my life.”
On the professional front, Manisha Rani made her debut with Bigg Boss OTT and is now rumored to appear on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.
