Directed by Brad Peyton, this sci-fi film features the On The Floor singer portraying the character of a data scientist who harbors disdain for the overreliance on technology. Despite her aversion, she must turn to AI for assistance in thwarting a malevolent robot portrayed by Simu Liu to save Earth.

At the LA premiere of the film, the multi-talented Jennifer Lopez discussed the movie and shared her encounter with AI. “I think this movie does a good job of showing how AI could go incredibly wrong, and this is how it could go really right,” she remarked about the film.

Reflecting on her own experience with artificial intelligence, Lopez revealed that she had seen her face digitally altered in skincare advertisements without her consent. “Right away, we had them stealing our faces. So, yes, [AI] is really scary,” she added.

However, she also emphasized the importance of acknowledging the positive aspects of AI. “These movies that are talking about AI — especially this one — do a really good job of showing both sides,” JLo concluded.

Co-star Sterling K Brown praises Lopez

At the Atlas premiere, the This Is Us actor, who portrays a military officer alongside the pop star, discussed his experience working with the talented JLo. He remarked, “Moguls be moguling,” showering praise on his co-star and expressing admiration for her work ethic and dedication on set. “There was always something happening,” he added.

The American Fiction actor reminisced about chatting with Lopez between takes. He shared a humorous anecdote about both of them lying on the floor after their characters endured beatings from the villain and reminisced about Lopez’s time as a Fly Girl on In Living Color. “She had a few good Rosie Perez stories,” Brown remarked.
