Ishq Vishk Rebound Review :-

Ishq Vishk Rebound In an age defined by situationships and breadcrumbing, where love stories often spiral into unnecessary complications, director Nipun Dharmadhikari’s romantic comedy breathes a refreshing breeze. The latest installment in the Ishq Vishk (2003) franchise follows three childhood best friends: Raghav (Rohit Saraf), Sanya (Pashmina Roshan), and Sahir (Jibraan Khan). Sanya and Sahir’s turbulent on-off relationship frequently pulls Raghav into their drama. When both couples simultaneously break up—with Raghav and Riya (Naila Grrewal) splitting too—Raghav and Sanya embark on a rebound romance. But will this fleeting ‘ishq vishk’ affair jeopardize their lifelong friendship?

Filled with laughter, the first half showcases Raghav comically juggling his friendships and newfound fling. From Raghav mischievously borrowing Sahir’s dog to their whimsical ‘haunting trip’ with Sanya, these moments are as delightful as they are entertaining. Written by Vaishali Naik, Vinay Chhawal, and Ketan Pedgaonkar, the film also offers a glimpse into contemporary love dynamics: Raghav views relationships as uncomplicated transactions, rationalizing his rebound with Sanya. The story also delves into how family dynamics complicate romantic relationships. For instance, Sanya’s fractured family background fuels her confrontational nature, often clashing with Sahir, who is weighed down by his domineering and abusive father, leading to their breakup. Ultimately, the film champions self-discovery and finding happiness beyond romantic entanglements.

In the film’s second half, the pace slows as the group’s intricate relationships start to feel repetitive. Raghav’s attempt to mirror his own life in the film’s script falls flat, lacking impact. Plot points like Riya’s jealousy towards the trio’s bond remain underdeveloped. While the songs are well-choreographed, slick, and catchy, they disrupt the narrative flow in the latter part. Rochak Kohli’s melodious track Rehmat, along with the remakes of Chot Dil Pe Lagi and Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar, contribute to a solid soundtrack.

Rohit Saraf shines with his impeccable comedic timing and natural delivery, often breaking the fourth wall to engage viewers deeply in his character’s journey. Pashmina Roshan delivers a compelling performance as a troubled young woman who attributes her immaturity to her fractured family background. Jibraan Khan also impresses with his capable portrayal, while Naila Grrewal delivers a commendable performance in her limited role.

Ishq Vishk Rebound caters primarily to Gen Z audiences. Although older viewers may not completely relate to its depiction of modern romance, its humor, captivating performances, and entertainment value ensure it’s worth watching at least once.
