Bharat and Sameer, portrayed by Aashiesh Sharma and Ankit Raj respectively, share a bond since childhood despite their religious differences. However, when they enter college, Sameer is influenced by divisive leaders, prompting him to run for student union presidency fueled by hatred. Supported by like-minded individuals, including his girlfriend Sapna (played by Sonarika Bhadoria), who advocates for minority rights and other social issues, Sameer’s stance clashes with Bharat’s devout Hindu beliefs. Bharat, disapproving of Sameer and Sapna’s agenda, gains attention after a video criticizing their divisive rhetoric goes viral. Encouraged by a right-wing leader and guided by familial and spiritual advice, Bharat decides to enter the fray. As their ideological differences intensify, the once-close friends become symbols of the polarizing religious and political landscape among the youth.

Despite attempts at a balanced portrayal, writer-director Karan Razdan’s narrative tends to stereotype certain communities, portraying them predominantly as antagonists. While performances by Sharma, Raj, and Bhadoria are commendable, veteran actors Deepika Chikhalia, Anup Jalota, and Govind Namdeo portray characters embodying typical stereotypes within their respective communities.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of North India, the film boasts decent production values but falls short in its simplistic approach to a complex issue. While touching on significant socio-political topics like the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and Article 370, the film lacks depth and fails to provide substantial insights. Instead, it leans towards hyper-nationalism, resembling a knee-jerk response to recent developments.

Although the climax attempts to redeem some of the film’s shortcomings, it ultimately struggles to strike a balance between entertainment and the filmmaker’s apparent message. The title itself hints at the film’s inclination, leaving little room for ambiguity.
