Highway Love Season 2 (Mxplayer) Review :-

Highway Love Season 1 followed the enchanting journey of a couple who met on a highway and gradually fell in love. It was filled with innocence, blossoming romance, and a compelling will-they-won’t-they dynamic, shaped by their past decisions. Season 2 kicks off with a similar vibe, but it feels disjointed and lacks focus. Unfortunately, it also loses the charm and innocence that defined the first season.

Season 2 opens with Ritvik Sahore behind the wheel, visibly angry, hinting that the much-anticipated trip to Spain may not have gone as planned. Ritvik excels at conveying emotions, showcasing a compelling transformation from a stoic figure to someone who reveals his feelings in private. Despite the confusing and somber start, his performance remains captivating, especially when he shows excitement.

On the other hand, Gayatri Bhardwaj’s brief presence falls flat, leaving little impact. While her character’s determination to resolve conflicts is commendable, it’s her explosive moment of anger that truly shines. Aside from that, the actress doesn’t have much depth to offer beyond the drama.

Their sweet moment of touching fingers comes at just the right time and resonates beautifully. Even though the Spain trip didn’t go as planned, things eventually turn in Kartik and Inaaya’s favor, and they find their way back to each other. Anshuman Malhotra’s character, Varun, has plenty of standout moments this season, playing a crucial role in a major decision that impacts the lead couple’s future.

As the shaadi season unfolds, both the girls and boys show they know how to have fun in their own unique ways. Romance flourishes between Kartik and Inaaya, even amidst the chaos. While their initial heartbreak creates confusion, there’s clearly a deeper story at play.

This season showcases the push-and-pull dynamic between Kartik and Inaaya, which can be quite confusing. Inaaya’s secret adds to the suspense, briefly addressed but soon overshadowed by life’s distractions. Vansh Sethii, as Sahil, shines brightly in this context. The eventual revelation is emotionally charged and works well, even if it takes time to unfold. The buildup of tension in that particular scene enhances the show’s appeal. Additionally, the bond between Sahil and Inaaya over drinks is one of the sweetest moments, echoing a hidden message reminiscent of Itaewon Class, which resonates powerfully here, too.

Highway Love Season 2 (Mxplayer) Trailor :-

With plenty of laughs and adorable moments from Ritvik’s Kartik, this season remains fairly enjoyable. It marks a turning point for the show, revealing a new side to Ritvik that viewers will appreciate. However, the abundance of highway metaphors feels forced. On the other hand, the Gen Z dialogue featuring Gayatri works surprisingly well.

Both Inaaya and Kartik harbor secrets, but Kartik’s is more overt, driving much of the drama. A drunken confession elevates the reveal of his secret to a new level. However, the series drags out certain events across two key scenes, leading to a filler episode that feels unnecessary and makes the season feel like it’s going in circles.

It takes five episodes for the creators to present a makeshift Spain, and even then, it feels quite random. The sixth episode is the strongest, revealing what altered Kartik and Inaaya’s plans for the trip, effectively bringing the show back on track. It also ends on a cliffhanger, hinting at an exciting season 3 ahead.

Final Thought

If you were hoping for the magic of Highway Love Season 1 to be recaptured in Season 2, you might be disappointed. The beginning isn’t strong, the plot barely progresses, and there are only a few moments that evoke the charm of the original. It’s best to skip this season unless you’re a devoted fan of Ritvik Sahore.
