The announcement of Henry Cavill and his girlfriend, television executive Natalie, expecting their first child arrives three years after the couple publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram.
Man of Steel star Henry Cavill and his girlfriend, television executive Natalie Viscuso, are expecting their first child. Henry revealed the news during an interview with entertainment outlet Access Hollywood at the New York City premiere of his upcoming film Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
“I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that,” the actor shared when asked about embracing fatherhood.
Cavill, aged 40, and Natalie, in her late 30s, went public with their relationship on Instagram in April 2021, posting a photo of themselves playing chess. They made their red carpet debut in New York City in late 2022 for the premiere of Cavill’s Netflix movie Enola Holmes 2. Natalie is a TV executive at Vertigo Entertainment, and she and Cavill are collaborating on a screen adaptation of the miniature wargame Warhammer 40,000.
The news of their impending parenthood comes three years after they confirmed their relationship on Instagram. “I am very happy in love, and in life,” Henry wrote in a 2021 message to his Instagram followers. “I’d be enormously grateful if you were happy with me. If you can’t bring yourself to be happy with me, then at the very least try to do yourself proud and be the best version of yourself.”
Cavill had previously spoken about his desire for fatherhood, expressing his wish to be an active and healthy dad. “If I ever have kids one day, I want to be the dad who’s running round after them. And if I do have kids, even now, it’s starting to get quite late. But I want to be a fit and healthy dad, not hobbling round like, ‘OK, I’m just going to catch a breather,” he told Men’s Health UK in 2017.
