Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives (Netflix) Review :-
I never quite grasp why viewers are drawn to these types of shows that Netflix keeps renewing season after season, especially when genuinely good series are being canceled. That said, let’s delve into this season’s drama.
The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Season 3 revolves around the rivalry between Mumbai and Delhi. The original cast—Bhavana Panday, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari Soni, and Seema Kiran Sajdeh—returns to their luxurious and chaotic lives, now joined by three newcomers to shake things up. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, sister of Ranbir Kapoor, adds a Delhi perspective, while Shalini Passi, an art and design enthusiast with a lavish lifestyle, and Kalyani Saha Chawla, an entrepreneur behind a luxury silverware brand, join the mix. Despite the fresh faces, the formula remains unchanged: plenty of gossip and backbiting.
The women spend much of the season gossiping and venting about trivial matters. It feels like watching a group of friends bond over judging one another—not in a lighthearted way, at least not for me. The phrase “Aao behen chugli kare” perfectly captures the season’s vibe. While the show tries to market this as drama, it often feels more exhausting than entertaining.
Among the newcomers, Shalini Passi stands out for her over-the-top antics. If you thought the Bollywood wives were dramatic, just wait until you see her. Everything about her—from her lavish lifestyle to her demeanor—screams, “I’m rich and I know it.” One particularly amusing claim was her assertion of being allergic to the sun—something I’ve never encountered before! Add in her penchant for living like she’s in a museum, and you’ve got a character who feels more like a caricature than a real person.
Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives (Netflix) Trailor :-
There are a few genuine moments of emotion sprinkled throughout the season. One notable storyline involves Maheep and Seema, where we witness their bond fraying due to ongoing conflicts. Fortunately, a special guest helps them reconcile, marking one of the more authentic moments of the season. Another significant moment is when Seema opens up about her divorce and her desire to move forward, adding a touch of vulnerability that briefly makes you forget the forced drama around it.
However, the rest of the season feels like a showcase of wealthy individuals squabbling over trivial issues. While some viewers might find it a guilty pleasure to watch the ultra-rich bicker about who said what at a dinner party, for me, it was simply cringeworthy.
Final Thought
Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives doesn’t bring anything fresh to the table, and the “Mumbai vs Delhi” angle fails to make an impact. The new additions don’t add much depth, leaving the show as a cringe-worthy spectacle of individuals showcasing their wealth while fretting over trivial matters. If you enjoy watching the rich squabble over minor issues and can overlook the contrived drama, you might find something to appreciate. However, for many viewers, the appeal is hard to grasp.
