Director Sam Hargrave returns with a vengeance in “Extraction 2,” following the success of the first installment. With high expectations set by its predecessor, where the indomitable Tyler Rake caused chaos in Dhaka to rescue the kidnapped son of a powerful drug lord, Hargrave delivers a personal and action-packed sequel.
In “Extraction 2,” Rake is tasked with extracting his former sister-in-law and her children from a prison while confronting his nemesis Zurab (Tornike Gogrichiani). True to form, Rake finds himself unable to avoid danger, plunging headfirst into the fray. This time, the stakes are raised even higher, with large-scale death and destruction spanning multiple countries, from a grim Georgian jail to the chilling snowy landscapes of the Czech Republic.
Co-written by the Russo brothers and Ande Parks, the story of “Extraction 2” once again serves as a conduit for intense and brutal action.
